According to Snakas Blog this could be the "G - SHOCK 35th anniversary" collaboration PV which was shown in the announcement of Takara Tomy's Tokyo Comic Con.

As someone who sells gshock I\'m not really impressed by their g-steel stuff, the additional premium that they tact on bc omg its metal is far higher than other manufactuers.

And as a TF fan, I\'m hoping they send us an OP display fig, I am totally claiming that for myself.

Also whoever did the model from prime took the time to make sure he has watch like astectics in robot mode, all the way down to having the stem on his thigh, its definetly an impressive piece of animation.

Oh, I saw this ad on the train over the weekend. I didn't know it was officially transformers involved, I thought it was just supposed to be a sorta knock-off prime.

I've got the original Megatron/Optimus G-Shock watches from Japan, so I'm up for this. My "Tokima" watch is busted....

Unfortunately, the watch shown is 50,000 Yen.

    Nope.

EDIT: My Jpns GF corrected me and stated it's closer to EIGHTY thousand Yen.

    Double nope, then...sigh...

Can't wait to see the footage used in fan made future Transformers movie trailers, when does Rise of Unicron come out again?
    This does look interesting.

    Ugh, that was so dumb.

I read the headline and had visions of a beautiful, classic, re-tooled G-Shock, transforming into G1/weathered-metal Prime (at least sticking out legs & helmet-horns!), and...

    -- Bayformer-esque CG-cheat-\'formation into already-existing, overpriced, non-retro, not-even-Transformers-branded generic/non-G-Shock-looking watch...!

    Frowny Face.

Wow, GShock is so 90s. :p

I've been out of touch with GShock, what type of GShock do you think this is? G-Steel like you mentioned or was that just an example?

So ~$800. Not horrendous. I'll consider if it's solar powered. I don't think they have anything with automatic movements.

Would your gf know what features this watch has or do you know where she got the price details from? Doesn't seem to be on the Snakas blog.

This appears to be a suped up variant of something similar to 5445. So it's got all the standard stuff: stopwatch, countdown timer, world timer, alarms (generally its about 3 for anything over 300 from them). It also appears to have some sort of blue tooth function similar to what casio does with their edifice lines, although I'm curious as to why there is a connect and a find button. Ive seen a lot of special edition colors and limited releases have prices that a bit out of hand, like 800-1000 out of hand.

Got it. And this is battery powered I take it? Not solar?
