My wife's been under the weather the last week, and spent most of her last few days in bed. I have working (the 4-Noon shift, as always), and when I called up my wife to see how she was doing and if she needed anything while I was on my way home? She told me, "You're going to kill the dog."

I knew exactly what had happened... She'd told me the same thing the *last time* Wicket (our Beagle) got the hunger pangs for my tasty-tasty plastic figures...

She told me he'd 'eaten the white, red, & purple one'... Not a lot of help,
although I immediately thought of Drift... Turns out however, that he went and chewed up the Thrust that came with the BLUE & YELLOW Bumblebee figure (one of the Target exclusive 2-packs). I really liked that figure for his "Reverse Skywarp" color scheme, but there's *NO WAY* I'm buying it *AGAIN*!!!! Then I'll have a spare garish-colored Bumblebee lying around collecting dust!

He also managed to get a hold of Classics Skywarp, putting a little tooth-mark in his left thruster/landing gear/nipple... It's not *entirely* noticeable, although I'm going to try and 'fix it up' a little so it's even less noticeable.

*Sigh* I really need to get a glass case for our Transformers...

    This brings the tally to:
    1 ROTF Thrust
    1 Classics Skywarp nipple
    1 "Robot Heroes" Bumblebee
    1 Legends class Animated Bumblebee
1 Animated Grimlock (his sword managed to survive however)
2 (yes, TWO) Animated Snarl/Slags.... Even got both of their Cheetos too!
And, while it's not Transformers-related, he's also chewed upon one of my wife's moccasins (today!), and (not today, but earlier this year) a little Pikachu figure that would say "PIKACHU!" and flash its cheeks (think one of those Easter chicks that you touch the metal contacts on the bottom of it)...

So, anyone else have anything destroyed by the family pet?

I've got mine on a plain old bookshelf... It really hasn't been that big of an issue (ie: He is normally WONDERFULLY behaved, and hasn't gotten a hold of one of the 'nicer' figures until now), and *normally* leaves the toys alone... He's 2 and a half years old now, and *most* of the figures he'd gotten into were back when he was a much younger pup...

I think Skywarp might be the 'straw' that has me find a glass display case (or at least move the toys off the bottom shelf-or-two).

Another reason I don't keep pets that wander around the house. I used to have a rabbit, our first chewed wires, so we always watch it

I know, good thing there's an IKEA store not too far away by the Mall Of America, right? The DETOLF shelves look nice...

Not really a Transformer dog damage story, but my best friend's beagle is so destructive of both his and his wife's property that I aptly nicknamed the dog Devastator.

The f---in' dog once chewed through a jump box and lived to tell the tale.
    Hardcore, that dog...

Yah , I lost an Energon Omega that way. Jen decided to put him on the shelf because she like the colors. I got him at Zellers on sale for $15. He never would stand flat footed so when the shelf got bumped down he came. Found half of his so called head (lame) in the back yard. Still not really heart broken about the loss.

My dogs have never gotten into my stuff, even as puppies. It helps that all my TFs and that are at least three feet off the ground or in glass cases, and only in my room which is off-limits to all the animals in my house, but on top of that, they're trained not to chew anything that's not a dog toy.

This. Though one of my cats got pissed off when my parents left for a holiday and decided to bust up and flatten out my G1 Trypticon box. What a bitch.

My dog ended up Quartering a Blastcharge. Then he fed the Fallen his own spark. But the last straw was Animated nemesis prime being chomped on.

His behavior has been corrected and he hasn't gotten any new TFs. I threw a transformer(one of many Movie BBs) next to his other toys and every time he went for it he got blasted with a squirt bottle on that laser sniper setting.

We're lucky. Our pets seem to respect our toys.
