For those of us who didn't buy the DVD. I can't wait to check it out. Tonight at 7 PM on Cartoon Network.

Thanks for the reminder, I didn't see this was on... I haven't watched Cartoon Network much lately, the sound has been so messed up and I dont know if it's the network or a local provider problem but the voice volume is half as loud as the music, makes it hard to watch and it's been like that for months

Hmm I caught the Avengers one on CN and was hoping they'd do the same for IM. It's kinda cool so far but then again I'm not a big Iron man fan.

It was pretty cool, alot of stuff I figured wouldn't be on CN during primetime as in blood, nudity(she was covered by 'mist') but it was pretty good. A halfway decent way to get ready for the real Iron Man movie.

I blame Avi Arad for all this film's failings.

Watch the special features documentary on the DVD, wherein the writer's outright say, "Avi kept wanting us to make the movie, bigger and grander...he didn't want it to feel simple."

Which, if you look back at the movie, you'll know that's EXACTLY what it needed to be.

I haven't seen it yet; how does it compare with Ultimate Avengers?

It's unlike Ultimate Avengers in that it's a completely unique origin story - never once has anything like this been told before in the comics. Sure, the old players are still there (Yinsen, Wong-Chu, Tony), but this particular story has not been told.

However, it IS like Ultimate Avengers in that the story is not very good at all - it feels, at times, as though the movie is targetted towards the 6-11 age bracket (unlike JLU, etc, where the movie is targetted towards older audiences, but the stories can be followed by kids, and as such, everyone is happy). Also, the big non-battle at the climax sucks - that's the one place where Avengers wins out.

In any case, I liked Iron Man better, perhaps because it IS a new story, as opposed to Ultimate Avengers where several scenes were ripped right from the comic (which, as a result, begs comparison). It's not a very good cartoon, and it would have become a horrible live action movie, but it's better than UA.

Well now that Iron Man has failed me, I'll be waiting for the Teen Titans and Superman animated movies, hopefully DC will make up where Marvel's failed.

I thought it was pretty good.
If nothing else, the animation was good.

Hmmm, some the majority's point of view is that this show doesn't live up to expectations?

I just watched it finally. It was ok, better than Ultimate Avengers I think, but then again Ironman has always been one of my fav Avengers. The over-acting during the dramatic moments was pretty funny. My favorite line from the movie: Rhodey: "You're not gonna do something stupid are you?" Tony: "Absolutely!" :lol  There was alot more Iron Man action in this movie than I was led to believe from previous reviews. And it was cool seeing the different types of armor in action. The final battle with a naked Mei Ling=Schwing!

    Well, I finally watched it.
The CG'd armour looked great. Unfortunately that was also pretty much the only good thing about the entire thing.
