So its already done, i like it, you too?
Oh yeah!...that looks great!..mighty fine job
Can we get a close up of the face?
Wow, the paint application looks very natural.
Thank you for the positive response
Schould i add some metal-used-look?
i like it all!!!!....but the head
the head is unmountable, sorry, i had the plan to use the arcee-head, but so ...
Very nice, and no, I don't think you should make him look worn; I think that'd take away from the glowing effect.
On that, though, I can't help thinking a brighter colour would help bring out that glow much better; nothing ridiculously bright, just more of an orange than a red.
Looks fantastic as is, I just think that'd emphasise the effect better.
Like Ramrider I'd say add a little bit of an orange highlight to some of the red areas to get more of a glowing flame under the surface look. But over all the paint looks great, very clean and I love the over all look.
definitely needs a diferent head, its just black unicron at the moment - even if you just took off the horns and gave him a faceplate, that would be enough, as your version already has the big eyebrows:
awsome look and i agree the orginal factory paint is gaud awful. i am thinking of making one for myself. and even though the head may not fit the theme it is awsome.
an interesting take on the character, but i still think some flames somewhere would've made this clearly the fallen. i agree that right now it does just kinda seem like a dark unicron repaint
i wint use flames, cause burning tanks/bots are broken/offline
i only want a smal gloweffec, not even more
oh, I definitely think you're right not to go with actual flames. For one thing, I think it simply would have been over the top, and for another, flames are very hard to make look right. Painting them on just looks lame (let's face it, we've seen the Titanium version), and if you sculpt them, you'd have to do it very specifically in areas that only ever point upwards, otherwise they'd be running counter to the laws of physics, and would look stupid.
Adding actual flame effects isn't the same as painting a flame-effect decoration, like, say, Hot Rod. Decos don't have to look realistic, just cool; if you're trying to paint flame that looks like flame, it's a much trickier prospect.
sigh...just a black unicron...
Bumbing the real old sucker for this simple complain?
dud eit's from the VERY early beginning of my custom works and it was my second custom ever
