yeah wish I knew that enamel paint and water really don't mix before I did some touch up :)  Bought enamel thinner to avoid this later.

Hit Lowes and Home Depot today to buy some supplies. Neither had this in stock. So WalMart or a grocery store might be the better spots to check.

Yeah, I bought a bottle Sunday. I think the other Wal-Mart just didn't carry it. It was easy to find at this one.

Could Future Floor polish be used a bonding agent like glue? That is what I would like to know.

no. It's an acrylic Lacquer. Basically like using paint to bond things. Not gonna happen.

The only thing I can think of for those of you having trouble finding it is that it's in the section of Walmart where the floor cleaners tend to be. Look for sponges on sticks, mops, and Swiffers.

Hence my reason for saying, "for those of you having trouble..." IIRC you're not the only one who's been stymied by Walmart's inconsistency. I know it had me buffaloed for a bit. Hopefully it'll make it more clear to someone else down the road.

If you would, be sure to mention how out works for you from the standpoint of a first-time user of the stuff. I'd be interested to hear how out works out for you, as I haven't had time to use it yet.

It worked really well for me. I used it as a clearcoat over some sharpie ink apps I put on. I learned not to just broadstroke it over all the apps though. Just use a small brush and just kinda dab it over the apps. Seals 'em in real good. Sharpie would rub off if you rubbed it enough, but now it's as solid as any paint apps.

Good to know...I used some silver Sharpie on Thunderwing's gun pods to make the missiles pop, and I keep having to touch them up.

guys, if you got an air brush - stay away from future. it's not great, takes forever to dry. If you want a heavy duty, GREAT clear coat; try Alclad's aqua clear coat. it's about $8 for 4 ounces, dries almost instantly and it's lacquer based. Makes future look like it's intended...for the floor.

Well, it's $8 for 4 ounces. I'm only using it to brush over paint apps. Small amounts in small areas. For that purpose, I think future would be better mostly because of costs.

Yes, Future and airbrushes won't mix well. Pretty much everything else that people have posted over the years about Future is that it's near magical.

That being said, I'd think if I had the workspace conducive for using an airbrush, Future wouldn't be the only practice I'd have major adjustments in.

It's acrylic based. I'm sure you can mix it with an airbrush medium if need be. I believe Krylon gloss for art is also acrylic based. I've only used it on artwork and not models so far.

I run Future straight from the bottle through my Iwata airbrish (.3mm needle, 30-ish psi) without issues. Check my recent customs: Warpath, Shockwave, Whirl, and Roadbuster.

They all have Future on them at some point, either as a topcoat or an intermediate coat between mediums (between acrylics and enamels, etc.)
