Interesting. Furman mentions in his comments section that in 2008 he has big plans for Liege Maximo, the big bad who appeared only in the final page of the G2 comics and in the UK convention story "Alignment". Whether those plans involve the current IDW universe, or if he's gonna play around with old continuity remains to be seen, but with Jhiaxus already hinted at in the main IDW comics, there's a good chance he's appearing in the IDWverse.

i am not spoiled, just even more hyped to read this comic. with all that is going on, everthing Furman says will happen will probably only get two pages each in the comic.

Nice... so Furman's using all those characters he never really used back in the day.

I kinda wonder if Nova Prime was one of his in-the-works characters from G2 that we never saw.

Wouldn't mind seeing more original Furman characters/obscure Transformers given character though. Seeing how we're getting that with Banzai-Tron, Jhiaxus, Nova Prime, and LM though, I guess I shouldn't complain.

Who wants to guess that Nova Prime now = Nemesis Prime?

Interesting, can't wait to read the rest of this series.
I wonder how many plot threads will be tied up and how many will be left..

I'm sure the head (literally) of the machination will be Scorponok.

The Machination HQ resemble the same complex as on Nebulos during Ultra Magnus' spotlight which can't be a coincidence.

I'm betting on Nova Prime being Dark Nova or something like that. I'd rather that name be used than Nemesis Prime, since Nemesis Prime has been so overused as a name that it's lost a little edge now.

Yay to the return of LM in 2008! Between that and Jhiaxus, it's bringing out the best of G2 alongside the best of G1. IDW is really coming out with some stellar TF fiction.

I hate to sound like a whiner, but anyone else got the feeling that the only person interested in the Reapers is Simon Furman himself? In my opinion, the Reapers are generic sci fi cliche villains that even look like corresponding characters in the X-Men bad guys, the Reavers.

I love how they are giving the spotlight to some obscure and unknowed transformers.

I can totally get behind Jhiaxus and Leige Maximo showing up, but I'm curious about the whole "And Sixshot does a little something" bit. Seeing as he's playing such a big part currently, I wonder what gets him relegated to "oh yeah, that guy" status.

In a weird change of heart, he spares Ratchet, Verity and Onion(sp?) because he takes a strange liking to Verity. Apparently her incessant whining is calming to him as it drowns out the quiet which he hates during his downtime. Who knew?

i wonder if they will kill off some of the decepticons that have been around since #0 such as the Battlechargers.

Maybe - the Battlechargers are B-listers anyway - sweet B-listers, but still B-listers.

Taking out a Triplechanger would be quite the shock though.

And I expect most of Hound's team to die. As they're coming to Earth (and not a moment too soon!)

Oh i can't say i was at all unhappy with Dreamwave Backstop. They produced the finest TFs comic art i've ever seen. Tho' IDW is doing a satisfactory job on that front too, but still the TFs comics of the DW era were beautiful and fascinating reads!

On topic, I'm really intrigued by what will have become of Nova Prime. But i have to agree with an earlier post about the Reapers not really holding that much interest for me. Still, the final installment of Devastation should be an interesting one.

Considering that we've only seen the reapers very breifly in Sixshots issue, they might actually have a cool story in the ongoing. I'll give Furmon's pet characters a chance before I form an opinion either way.
