I think making Revelations a four-issue story will prove to be a very wise move. This should be the first story since Stormbreaker to have no slow issues or lulls in the action.

That comic looks really cool though I'd still like to see an acurate toy of Cyclonus.

I just hope his "BIG" reveal isn't Unicron. He seems to be implying that the surprise isn't just big as in "wow," but big as in "huge."

Ditto on the please no Unicron thing... I really don't want to see him in IDW... not for awhile anyways. *sigh* Remember the days when Unicron actually seemed like a threat because the Autobots didn't beat him up every season or so? *sigh*

Exactly my point. Unicron in G1 was a legitimate, serious threat. And ever since, he's pretty much been "Oh, Unicron's here. Guess we should, you know, beat him up, or whatever. I'll grab the spatulas."

I think Furman's already ruled Unicron out of the IDW-verse, hasn't he?

Indeed :D  I really like IDW Jetfire :)

I thought so, but the more I think of it, the more I seem to recall that quote as being "We won't see Unicron in the IDW-verse...for now." Much like Grimlock, who as we all know is showing up soonish.

Although, god dammit, as I typed that, I just realized who he's likely talking about and damn near soiled myself with glee. We've already seen Jhiaxus, could the big reveal be.....Liege Maximo?!?! :thumb

That's more likely - Furman's mentioned wanting to bring him back a few times, since he didn't get an outing in G2 apart from a one-page reveal at the end of the series. Good call!

The Matrix, on the other hand, hasn't been ruled out. It's been said that the Matrix' reappearance won't be a happy event either.

Yeah, same here. It's just overdone at this point so I hope Furman doesn't feel the need to bring him in as either a hungry robot planet created by a mad scientist or a god/demi-god... bleh...

Yeah, he did, but like you pointed out he said that about Grimlock too and Grimmy's showing up very very soon.

    ...not complaining about Grimlock though...

Oh, very good point! :D  Furman has beat around the bsuh about bringing him in!

Really? When was that mentioned I must have missed it. Sounds interesting enough.

But, that makes me realize something, Optimus doesn't have the Matrix then does he? Which is odd because for some reason I thought he did... guess I just assumed he had it...

He's said that the matrix will feature I think. Optimus doesn't have it. IIRC, Nova Prime had it when his ship went into the Dead Universe - so we can only assume Nemesis Prime has it now, or perhaps Liege Maximo?

Ah, must have missed that tidbit. Guess it makes sense that if Nova had the Matrix when he dissapeared it'd be weird for it to suddenly show back up on Cybertron for Sentinel and than Optimus to have huh?

Yup, Furman said that the Matrix went missing with Nova, but that it will return - and this will be very very bad news for the Autobots! I'm getting it's how Galvatron got the 'unlife' power he used against the Reapers.

If we get until 2010 without Unicron, it would be brilliant.

I suspect it will be Nova Prime who will show up.

I got the impression that the "huge reveal" will be in numbers - basically an amped up third faction with a huge cast. Could be interesting but I kinda liked how the spotlights were giving us a tour of the war - there's so much scope in the main conflict that these outside threats are just... distracting :/

I dunno, I still like Cyclonus as the almost religious zelot type. He's like a Decepticon Paladin. And you have to admit it's a pretty unique roll in the hirarchy.

He doesn't have to be a Unicron worshiper, per se, just a patriot for the Decepticon cause.
