So TFW, have we ever sent or recieved something in a funny or otherwise noticible form of packaging?

For example, I was thinking about getting some dildo boxes or whatever from Spensers to send Transformers to people with, mainly for the hilarity of them thinking that its simply what I had lying around.

Then on a more serious note, Dr. Prime used some really cool bags of air things that've since been recycled, and I'm still using the the packing peanuts that came with an order of yugioh cardss/tins/playmats that I bought a few years ago.

I don't know if 'funny' is the right word, but I had an eBayer send me something where all they did was put white wrapping paper on the box. Box got tore up a bit, naturally, but the item was OK.

Well, it might not've been funny to you, but...

Also to Galvaprime, you should totally do it, and if dildo boxes don't work out, then there's always penis enlargment, adult diapers, etc. Now, getting packaging for this stuff might be more of a task than getting the actual item, but I'd love to see the look on someone's face when they're ripping into a box to get to their transformers... only to find em packed within one of these things.

I'd like to find that "used pizza box" example or whatever that somebody posted in one of the KO Toys hate threads because that shit was hilarious. Well again, maybe not to him, but for people who didn't have their toys covered in pizza sause, that is.

I received an TF once that came in a case that was originally for hysterectomy surgical kits.

I reused it when I sold something from my collection :D

I got envelope that was stamped with "AWESOME INSIDE" ..... It was a TMNT beanie.... and it is awesome.

Dildo boxes would be funny. I don't see it working well with eBay buyers though. Just with other forum members.

I've gotten quite a few of those small pouches of air. Got some recently from some books I ordered from BN.com. Big heavy book and they decided to use those things as cushioning.

I'm not sure how I feel about those high tech looking bubble wraps that BBTS uses now. They're no fun.

Hhahaah. That might not have been a breast pump, but the fact that you sent a Unicron of all things (eats planets in the vacuum of space, etc) makes it pretty amazing. :)

    Ebay:
I can beat that. I bought a Revoltech Face Open Gaiking on eBay a while ago (it was $8, and I only bought it because I wanted a Revoltech at the time), and not only did it take forever to get here, but all the seller did was put my address on the back of the box and mail it. Not wrapped or anything.

Gotta love how some people actually have the balls to do that shit, especially on ebay. I think the funniest that I've seen was at the Univercity where someone tried to mail a bunch of crap inside a shopping bag with a post-it note stuck to it (with the person's name & addy).

Now, they were probably just lazy & expected the staff to take care of everything for them, but really?

MISB RtS Lugnut inside a box for frozen hamburger patties. It was a surprisingly snug fit.

I bought two Wii games* from Best Buy in November. They both shipped from the same warehouse in the same day. One came in a padded envelope and the other came in a box large enough to hold a large DVD player or small TV. The rest of the box was filled with those plastic bags of air.

*Metroid: Other M and Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers if it matters. Spent $12 on the pair.

I got something shipped in a shoebox once. What made me mad, besides the one layer strip of tape holding it closed, the seller didn't even bother to cover the two holes on the edges of the box. There were small parts in there too, but surprisingly none of them got out.

I had a MISB Energon Wingsaber arrive in a box for a toaster.

    Quite a snug fit actually.
