I just got it in my head and can't stop giggling about it... should the US government have made all of the autobots carry a full coverage auto insurance policy???

    Sorry, I had to...

Would transformers need auto insurance, personal injury insurance, or both?

But I think unless they became US citizens they could maybe get away with diplomatic immunity?

Well considering in DOTM that Ironhide destroyed about a quarter of a city block with one of the Dredds bodies... umm... both?

It is probably more likely that the insurance companies would either a-allow people to add in provisions that cover them from NBE ecounters or b-consider all NBE encounters acts of War and not cover them.

"and how long have you owned the car?"

    "Uh... all my life?"

"And how long is that, sir?"

"4 million of your earth years."

"And how many hours a day do you drive, sir?"

    "Uh... a lot. I don't know, 14? 15?"

"And how many accidents, collisions, or instances of property damage have you been involved with?"

    "Oh slag..."

"Lots...too many...but I assure you most of the accidents were in self-defence".

    "Self-defence?"

That's funny; the insurance companies would have to have a "no fault clause or need to redefine acts of God" on the bottom of the insurance plan.

All the damage they take is in robot form.

Watch the last transformation to robot form Bee makes in DOTM and keep your eye on the chestpiece (front of the car... obviously) the whole time.

    Insurance obsolete.

According to me its yes because life insurance investment is the best one for our family and with the help of that we can secure them with it also we get tax reduction and also in some of the life insurance we even get health insurance where they are going to cover most of the health problems, we get double benefit and with less premium. I think we can do this not for us it will be for our family too.

Imagine someone trying to explain to their insurance company why their vehicle has a hole burnt on the passenger side door and a missing roof. That would be fun to explain.....
