We already knew that the Fugitive Waspinator had purple-tinted headlights, which was not shown in the cartoon. Based on that, I was just wondering, was the windows tinted purple as well? Based on the image given at the slideshow at the 2009 SDCC, it is hard to tell whether the windows were tinted as well or not.

Yes, they're purple. Probably a tad darker than the stingers/eyes/boosters though, since on Bumblebee, these were different shades of plastic as well.

Thanks, Digilaut. Too bad these purple-tinted windows weren't shown in the cartoon as well. I do think that Hasbro is trying to do paint his both of his headlights and windows purple to make Waspinator look more Beast Wars-like.

Actually it is probably more like all the transparent parts are coming off of one sprue at the factory I'd imagine.

I didn't know this was one of the toys that they were going to release?

Yes, because Beast Wars featured a lot of cars with purple windows and headlights.

No, Switchblade. Hasbro only painted Fugitive Waspinator that way to pay homages to his Beast Wars counterpart. Furthermore, there were absolutely no vehicles in Beast Wars whatsoever, but only animals. However, it was already proven that Beast Wars Maximals and Predacons were originally vehicles before they were being re-formatted into animals. I'm not too sure if that was already shown in the beginning of Beast Wars. However, there is only thing that Animated Waspinator/Fugitive Waspinator and Beast Wars Waspinator have in common is that they both speak the same language, that is, a bug language, which is a third-person language spoken by some insectoid Transformers. Since we do already know that Animated Waspinator did spoke this language, because he's crazy, we still don't know how Beast Wars Waspinator learn to talk like that and why. Can you please tell me why? Anyhow, I do hope that Fugitive Waspinator will be release sometime in the near future so that I can take a more detailed look of his green sports car mode. You know, I'm starting to get tired of looking at Waspinator's bug mode, because as of right now, I'm extremely anxious of to see his vehicle mode, which looks pretty cool. Talk to you again, soon. Take care!

Man, this is the worst toy in the animated line, all this thing needs is a remolded head to look like Wasp and I'd be friggin all over it. As it stands, thats just Bumblebee in Wasp colours.

Yeah, I do. Animated was amazing when it came to show like toys. This Wasp toy coming out is just bumblebee in Wasp colours. Infact, I'd much prefare it if they made him an activator and gave him a new head there, ala Cliffjumper.

I just feel the Animated toy line was so full of character, which, apart from the seekers, I feel is the reason we haven't had a ton of the toys repainted into different characters and such.

Ofcourse, this being the internet, you could have been pointing out what everyone was thinking and I couldn't tell, if so then... yeah, cool.

Hasbro basically explained at Botcon that they couldn't do the remolded head due to time constraints / budget constraints, but wanted to get the deco out there anyway.

It's actually meant to be Wasp after he stole Bumblebee's helmet, but in his own colours instead.

Myself, I'm just happy to be getting the deco. The head's nothing a little sculpy can't fix in the right hands.

    I bet it's purple.

I wish he had a new head though.
