These vids were shot to be kind of like, hey I'll share some thoughts on the toys while I'm still at the convention. I do intend to give them both proper review vids somewhere down the line. What the heck is this Universe Dak series R.E.V. figure? I know what the mold is, but I've never seen one with those colors.
It was the custom figure for the convention customization class. It was a combination of the RiD Spychanger REV and the Targetmaster REV from G1.
Photos! After I got back I went digging through my RID box and found my REV (still sealed.. to open or not..) and here is a photo of him with the new Universe REV. Before I left TFCon I snagged one of the boxes from the trash. Not only was it a nice way to store the toy (which was still wet), but going with the quality of the custom a quick coloring of the head red and the box now matches the toy. And best of all the text "SUNSTREAKER" can be easily turned into "REV" just by coloring most of the text with a black marker. For me the Custom class was the best part of TFCon and very much hope to do it again next year. Edit: clarification
A Yellow Repaint of Universe Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold. Mm..For a second there, I thought I saw Tigertracks: eBay.com.sg: Transformers MIB Yellow Sideswipe Tiger Tracks Exclusiv (item 380100945344 end time Mar 27, 2009 03:43:06 SGT)
I noticed ton the TFCon Boards Gallery that the suit case full of Energon Cubes is missing one - are they all like that and if so why ? Also I heard that there's more plugs than there is holes to put them in - again why ?
Mine is. No idea. Don't care about it missing a cube It's the armor I care about. Same deal with the plugs I used 4 red ones on the shoulder pieces. No clue where the other ones are supposed to go. I don't see any need to use the black ones since you can't see the holes.
Pretty common place procedure to give extra small pieces such as them, in case there is a computer weight malfunction, or a miscount. This prevents the customer from being short changed, and the cost of this preventative measure is negligible in comparison to returns and shipment on secondary replacement parts.
Yeah, the suitcase is supposed to have an empty spot. Namelessrobotguy used one of the cubes to combine with the trailer.
