Sorry for the inconveniences.

Hi all, as I always do with each Jetfire I own, I made a custom to turn Jetfire into Skyfire for the Classics line.

I only removed the front and rear parts of the jet and the wings (no permanent changes), then with a very bad quality Jetfire G1 KO I build a new jetpack to transform Jetfire into Skyfire.

To complete the project I bought a jream set of covers for the gaps in the arms and the legs:

Here we have Jetfire without the parts.



The new Jetpack is connected to Jetfire back.



Here we have Jetfire and the new jetpack.

This mode is not perfect because of the jet parts I disasembled, but my priority was the bot mode.

For some reason, the linking option isn't working for these images, so I've quoted the post and removed the IMG tags and put URL tags in their place. You'll have to click on them to see his pictures, but it works until another option can be found.

EDIT: Here's the problem:

Refresh the page when you see that error, the image will appear. My guess is it's because he hotlinked the images to share on the board, which is a LOT of bandwidth. You need a place like Photobucket to allow hotlinking in larger numbers.

EDIT 2:

Yep, it's a partsformer. It looks nice in robot mode, but there's too many exposed and hollow points in vehicle mode. Needs some filler panels and perhaps an armature that would allow for the back pack to swivel for transformation, but allow it to remain attached to the figure at all times. That would go a long way to help alleviate the issues he's having with this mod.

 

Ah can't get the pictures to work, but I am super intrigued to see what you have done  

*edit* ignore that, just followed one of the earlier links. Outstanding work, it is amazing how much difference it makes, and how fantastic it looks.  

 

Yes, that can be a very good solution, but I was only interested in the Skyfire bot mode, the pictures in Jet mode was only for the people interest.

I'm sure that someone can find a good solution to the transformation and the Jet mode.

Thank you, it really looks good now in robot mode, and is a easy mod if you can find a KO G1 Toy.

 

Don't worry, I read the first part and ended up just scrolling down. It was a lot of exposition about how he likes Skyfire.
