Casting Call: Mark Wahlberg To Soar As 'The Crow'? - Yahoo! Movies
You know, it frustrates me enough that they're unnecessarily remaking my favorite movie and trying to overshadow Brandon Lee's legacy. But replacing him with former New Kid turned 2D cardboard actor? Seriously, everything I ever watch him in he seems emotionless and utterly bored.
Mark Wahlberg as the Crow?
wait, how did Brandon Lee leave a legacy? He only made like 3 movies, 2.5 really before passing away. And though the Crow is a cult classic, his other movies didnt do much really. Dont get me wrong, he was a decent guy and its a shame he passed early in his career, but I just wouldnt use the word "legacy"
The Crow was his legacy, is what I meant.
I'm unfamiliar with the rest of his work.
I meant that in dying to make this masterpiece, he left a legacy behind to be remembered by.
Definition of Legacy:
1: a gift by will especially of money or other personal property : bequest
2: something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past <the legacy of the ancient philosophers>
Seems apt to me.
Would me saying that they're overshadowing his "really good movie" be more appropriate?
i think just saying that a classic does not need to be re-made would suffice
I'll try to keep my wording to your standards for now on.
Back on topic, I wouldve pegged Skeet Ulrich or Johnny Depp for a Crow remake not clean cut Wahlberg. But either way I like him as an actor
This seems like a terrible idea. Another movie that doesn't need to be remade. I'd settle for a new release of the original in which the digital work has been cleaned up and modernized.
No need for a remake. And Wahlberg does not fit as The Crow.
Hope this will not turn true.
This! sadly that hasn't stopped Hollywood before Case in point : The day the earth stood still.
I'd hardly call The Crow a masterpiece (cult classic definitely), and I think "The Crow: Wicked Prayer" is a pretty solid argument in favor of a remake. Nevertheless, Ole' Marky Mark isn't the greatest choice even if he's a quite fine actor in his own right.
His brother Donnie was in New Kids. Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch was his band.
And as much as I love Mark Wahlberg, this is absolutely unnecessary.
I just watched the Crow yesterday and yikes.... I'm not going to offend anybody but that movie was far from a masterpiece . The Soundtrack on the other hand, was amazing.
Including the Crow,Brandon appared in 7 films and 3 TV shows.
