YouTube - Official Fright Night Trailer
Yay another vampire movie
Well at least this one doesn't sparkle...at least I don't think he does...
Oh hey, they made this one in my home state! I recognize some of the scenery.
Ahhh...the sweet, bloody backlash begins.
Vampires as predatory monsters are in again, and I love it.
Odd that the trailer didn't have Peter Vincent in it at all, though.
But apparently it takes place at least partially in Vegas. Always fun to see home in a film. Happens a lot.
No Peter Vincent? He was my favorite character in the original. I'll probably still watch it anyway as I liked the first movie.
David Tennant as Peter Vincent
No Roddy McDowall? FAIL. His corpse better have a cameo.
Lol that vampire is screwed. The Doctor is on the case.......
what he regenerated?
Oh they are screwed.
Oh, so he is in it. I was looking for the Vincent Price type character he was in the first one. Not sure I'm liking the look of the character in this one.
Sounds great, i hope it will be as good as recent vampire movies like Let The Right One In, Let Me In, Thirst and Daybreakers.
I hear this one is made by one of the writers of Buffy and that's a good sign on why it might be good and might spoof recent vampire stuff like Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaires and more.

isn't Let The Right One In already the new Fright Night?
They better not kill Tennents charcater in this movie. Kill McLovin, kill the girlfriend, I dont care, but leave the Doctor alone.
No. No it is not.
Completely different atmosphere, completely different film types, despite both having vampires.
I remember the 1985 original and I was shocked when I found out they are doing a remake.
But at least it takes place in a modern subdivision and modern homes instead of a creepy next store victorian mansion.
Well LTROI is kind of a dramatic non-comical version of FN with the same subject about a vampire living next door and troubled young man kind of theme.
Except in LTROI the vampire doesn't want to kill the protagonist and his family. It's about their friendship. FN is pretty much the exact opposite. Other than the "vampire next door" theme there isn't anything too similar about them.
Will this remake be as good as other horror movie remakes like The Thing, The Fly, Dawn of the Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D, King Kong, Cat People, Toolbox Murders, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Night of the Living Dead, I Spit on Your Grave, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 2001 Maniacs, Last House on The Left, Willard, Nosferatu, The Blob etc.?
Or it might be decent like Halloween, House on Haunted Hill, Elm Street or Friday The 13th?
Or meh like Black Christmas?
Or it could end up being a dud like Psycho, Prom Night, The Fog etc.?
I saw the trailer for this when I went to see Green Lantern. Fright Night looks awful... terrible dialogue, not scary, formulaic... ugh. Looks really bad.
This is from one of the writers of Buffy
