Hmm, this auction is up again and seems highly suspicious to me. The seller immediately relisted it due to "zero feedback bidders", but it was a private listing so you couldn't see who was bidding. Did it get relisted due to bad bidders, or relisted due to it selling for $2.2k when you paid $4k for it (taking a $1800 loss)?

I suspect that since the Defensor sold for a little more than half of what the seller originally paid for it, and it's a private listing and you can't see the bidders, the seller is shill bidding to try and jack the price up. They just put up a F_R Devastator for sale as well, so that leads me to believe that they must really need the cash, considering what was originally paid for the figures.

A seemingly desparate need for cash is a serious red flag on auctions.

i agree, it seems a bit suspicious. i was thinking F_R's Defensor originally sold for $5k.

Like you said, I think it didnt sell for what the seller was expecting.

I agree 100% - if you look at the guy's other auctions that he's listed or sold, he's selling two motorbikes, a truck and a car, plus two F_R custom Transformers. He needs serious money in a hurry.

I was bidding on this item the first time it was listed by this seller and it was still sub-$1000 until a few hours before it ended.

Of course, I don't know too many people who would be willing to take a multi-thousand dollar loss on an item like this. The guy would probably have better luck hiring Frenzy_rumble to re-sell it for him - the pictures he has are horrible.

Forget I said that - that just means the price will be lower for me!!

The paint is scratched on some spots, there's no way he'll get as much as frenzy_rumble did when selling him the first time.

Well, surprise surprise. Apparently the seller's shill-bidding didn't work out to his satisfaction so it's now re-listed a THIRD time.

I would honestly say that if anybody's interested in a Defensor, contact F_R himself and stay the hell away from this seller.

He has 2 Defensors and 2 Bruticus listed with duplicate pics:confused2

He either is really stupid paying insertion fees twice or a scammer.

He just paid for the auctions to be "featured" so they're up top and below among the rest of his auctions as well.

Still doesn't mean that he wasn't trying to scam people with the previous auctions ending without a completed sale.

Apparently others noted the scratched paint as well, because now he's resorting to using Frenzy_Rumble's original pics from back when it was brand new.

The first listing ended at $2245. Setting the relisting at $1000 seems perfectly reasonable.

He does still have his own pics in the auction.

Either way it goes, I am interested in seeing the secondary sale price on this one if he can actually sell it this time around. I wonder how much of that first auction's $2245 final value involved bad bidders, of if it was just the winning bidder that was a bum.

Seeing it up for sale from the original buyer kind of kills that whole image of F_R's items being available to only those with plenty of disposable income.
