Fred's needs to be saved somehow. Surely one of the big sites (Here?) will be interested in keeping the information he's collected over the years?

Thank you to those who archived this!

I will be downloading once I get home from work. I was actually legitimately bummed out that all that information was about to fall into the void.

    I second this motion!

Fred's Workshop was the best location for looking up variants info.

*sighs* Very well, I will create a WinRAR file as well and upload it to Rapidshare. Again, give me a few hours to do this. I'm currently unemployed and have a job-related orientation session to go to today, so that takes precedence over this. :(

I've been urging (nagging) Fred for years to get that stuff off of Geocities. Due to the amount of content and his lack of free time, its never happened.

I've got a webhost so I can host the files. Stupid Rapidshare won't let me download due to no free slots being available. Will try later...

I should note here that I saved what I could. There were several links that were broken or pointed to webpages that had been gone for years.

Anyways, as promised, here's an updated link with a WinRAR file. I've edited my original post with the same information:

RapidShare: Fred's Workshop - Transformers Variants (WinRAR)

Warning for potential downloaders: Here're the statistics:

    Archiving program used: WinRAR 3.71
    Number of pages saved: 177
    Number of images saved: 2750
Total number of files in RAR archive: 7403
Size of RAR archive: 114251 KB (108 MB)

I'm afraid you'll have to download it yourself and fix all the links. I've done about as much as I can here. :(

    Word from Fred!
If word doesn't trickle down faster, I'll post the link to the new site once I find it out myself!

I really hope that Fred doesn't decide to put it on another free web host.

Great job backing this up. I meant to do the same but then completely forgot before they shut it down.

Thanks. It won't with my luck, but thanks. :(

Don't suppose you know anyone out there looking for a biochemist, lab technician, German-English translator, or video game localization tester, do you...? :redface2:

Maybe you can mention Pimpimus Prime's offer for free webhosting, thus also assuaging his fears that the site will be put up on another free webhost?

Since its been a while and the site isn't up yet, can someone from the lucky ones that have it, upload it somewhere except rapidshare? I need some info and rapidshare won't let me download the file, i've been trying for hours.
I hope i'm not asking much, thanks in advance.

Yeah, Rapidshare is best accessed late at night, when traffic is lowest.

Give me a few days and I'll try uploading to Sharebee. :)
