Normally I refrain from posting w.i.p.s, but seeing how long it's going to take to paint this guy, I couldn't wait any longer.

In the midst of my mini-Bruticus project, I decided to put it on the back burner and attempt at making a Classics counterpart for the random and obscure monsterbot, Grotusque.

Base is a Cybertron Scourge with parts from Armada Thundercracker, Tigerhawk, Universe Depthcharge, Lego Knights, Bionicles, and a few other things.

I still have a little ways to go modding wise, but once the gargoyle and robot heads are attached, it's just a little refinement away from painting.

Why don't you like posting WIPs? Anyway, this is really nice. Can the other heads be used for a Doublecross?

I love WIP pics and threads 100 times more compared to completed galleries. Please post more!

Grotusque is by far my favorite monsterbot. It looks very promising. Very curious about what head you will use. Will you be covering the lego pieces?

    Looks great already!

Sick! I'd buy it if it was released in the Universe Line.

I love it, when you are done with it I hope you sell it so I can get a chance to get him like your Trypticon (still have him on my desk here :) )

that's pretty sweet, man. Ive got no critiques. I think you're doing a swell job, and the mods really drive the homage wonderfully. I highly anticipate seeing the heads!

I'd love to and I have ideas, but not the time. I go back to college on the August 23.

Not entirely sure. I thought about doing Doublecross with this same mold and the spare heads. Again, just not enough time.

I couldn't help but think of you and your kitbashes tonight when I went to an auction. I bought 7 boxes of transformers and go-bots for $30.

Well, the lego pieces will just be painted over. Once you do that, they don't look too bad. Otherwise there would just be gaping holes.

As soon as I finish him(who knows when that will be), I do plan to sell him. College students can never have enough money.

I'm a big monsterbot fan and I didn't even think of this nice work. I have done a Beast Wars grotesque by making tm2 cheetor with wings, repungus using waspinators body and parts the claws of turantulas and for double cross I used a tm2 megatron never got around to finishing him I tried using 2 tm2 megatron dragon heads but I never got them top both stay on. I had to remove the wings but that was the hardest one to figure out.
