Incredibly enough, both the Italian and the German dub credit Frank Welker for voicing Soundwave in those languages.

Reportedly, Italian Soundwave has a foreign accent, but German Soundwave sounded pretty accent-free as far as I could tell.

    What the hell?

Gee whiz, mate! I knew he could speak Italian, but German? I'm impressed.

well, soundwave only had a few lines. it wouldnt be all that hard to learn a couple of sentences in another language. someone with welkers voice talent could probably copy someone perfectly without a trace of accent, even if he had no idea what the hell he was saying.

It's amazing that even the pronunciation of "Decepticons" sounced genuine "German", with all the nuances I'd only expect from a fluent speaker.

Meanwhile, German dubbing experts/fans are convinced the Welker credit is an error, as they believe to recognize a different German voice actor.

He's pretty much THE greatest voice actor alive. The fact he was shut out of the first movie is absurd.

Hm then I have to see the film even more. And it's really Frank Welker dubbing the german version as well?

Apparently that's an erroneous credit. Serveral people claim that the same guy who dubbed Animated Ratchet in Germany voices ROTF Soundwave.

    Bummer. :(
