RIP. I remember not getting a TF book as a kid in the 80's until issue 4. When it was suppose to be over. I didnt miss one book after that. I never recognized the names of the staff until later on, but thank you for your contribution to my youth.

RIP, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I had these as a kid and remember spending hours flipping through his art.

Always enjoyed Frank Springer's artwork in Transformers. He did a good job of making them feel "other worldly", and I liked the more toy-based stuff.

RIP Frank. Your work will be enjoyed for years to come!

The Reuben is a very prestigious award. To have won three times was quite an accomplishment. To put Springer's honor in perspective, you could make a serious argument for Charles Schulz being the most successful comic artist ever, and Schulz only won the Reuben twice. Rest in peace Mr. Springer.

Sad news. I always preferred his pencils to most of the other pencil artists on the original TF series (especially those god-awful Geoff Senior issues). I always wanted to see him team with Stephen Baskerville for an issue or three.

    RIP, Frank.
