In the club magazine, it was stated that the inspiration for Sentinel's personality came from the Frank Burns character of M*A*S*H. Here's a thread for fans to discuss other old TV show or movie personalities and how they could be incorporated into new Animated characters. Whether it be Mr. T, MacGuyver, or any other personality, post what you think would be a good fit.

Personally, I'd like to see a character based upon (and perhaps even voiced by the actor) the Motormouth Jones character from Police Academy. Come to think of it, Motormouth could even be the characters name...

To me, Blitzwing, Lugnut and Swindle are the Murdock, B.A. and Faceman of the Decepticons.

I've always seen Sentinel as being more of a Guy Gardner (from DC Comics). An arrogant and antagonistic jerk who exists largely to aggravate his teammates.

 

I would LOVE a "Mary Sue" character who gets repeatedly brought down to earth by the rest of the cast- basically, the optimus prime everybody 'supposedly' wants, but is so insufferably perfect he gets sent back to cybertron.

I'd love to see a group picture of the 'D-Team', including Swindle. Something else just struck me - Blitzwing also reminds me of Latka Gravas from 'Taxi'. Don't get me wrong - I absolutely love Bumper Robinson's Blitzwing. But goddamn, I can't help but wonder what we would have got if Andy Kaufman survived to this day, and was given the role!
