Oh man...I just got HOS Prime. Now, I was extremely, EXTREMELY impressed by Defender. He is such an impressive figure and I am always going to buy a FansProject product. However, HOS Prime has me blown away right now. This is a first impression, so I'm gonna give it a few days after the ential excitement has worn off and see if I still feel the same way.

Defender was the far higher priority for my collection. HOS Prime will be an impulse buy down the road, maybe a Botcon memento.

I'm actually buying both sometime this week, but I am more excited about getting HOS Prime.

I've always liked both characters and both toys are awesome in their own rights.

Warbot / Springer - Triple changer, true homage to G1, die-cast and this will go well with the other toys FansProject has put out (especially when and if Protector / Rodimus will be produced).

HOS Prime - Prime as a Train in G1 colors... That's just AWESOME!

But if I had to pick one, I would have to go for HOS Prime for the simple reasons of it being Prime and the fact that this is the first toy Mastermind Creations is producing, which is a good jump-on point for those who don't have the prior Fansproject toys to complement Warbot / Springer.

I hope the sales for Warbot and HOS do good so that we can see more toys from both companies.

Imagine Fansproject do Arcee, Kup, Blurr and the rest of the Wreckers!

Not to mention, Mastermind Creations doing the rest of the HOS characters... Who wouldn't want to see a toy of Megatron as a Canon or Shockwave as a battleship and not to forget all the Seekers!

    HOS FTW!

I have and love both. However, HOS Prime is the winner in my book. Defender is great. KMC is EPIC. Sure, the quality is a little better in Defender but, KMC is just cooler.

Here you go. These comments are spot on. I have Springer, and I'm getting HOS Prime, so I can't comment entirely on HOS Prime. However, in my collection, I would simply rather have a HOS Prime then an updated Springer, unless the prime look totally awful, but this one doesn't.

Springer is fantastic. I have no interest in Prime.

HOS Prime by far. I own both and while I don't dislike Springer, there are some areas that need improvement (HEELS). HOS Prime could use a few tweaks (cabin windows, the elbow alignments not being so damn stiff) but overall it's a far better figure.

Not to mention it's actually got nearly the same transformation as previous cab-and-trailer Primes (fold arms back and around, head tucks under, legs fold back for the wheel base, etc.).

I'd like to add a + and a - to the HOS Prime.

    - On the bottom, where you store the extra fists, the holes are a bit too small. In fact, the slanted fists already have stress marks on the pegs and the result is they are loose going in Prime's wrists.

+ On the same bottom, there is a coupler. Seems to me, this would imply they are planning on continuing the line with other cars that can hook up to him! Sweet!

(Coupler on the bottom of the pic)

I'm not really into Hearts Of Steel.

So...I'm going with my Warbot Defender I just got today.

First thing I noticed when I got them out for the lance. I've got a spare organizer drawer for TF parts so I'm keeping them in there before they get any worse.

I vote this for HOS Roller.

My only complaint regarding the HOS Prime is the front wheels; those tiny red ones. I already have a stress mark on one so I'm being extremely cautious. Other than that, HOS Prime is an epic win, slightly above FP Defender.

Not convinced they will now. They've given us sub-par G1 updates for years now.

    AND....

Now the stakes are a lot higher with the existence of Warbot Defender.

I'm not expecting a Classics style Springer any time soon.

Got Warbot & HOS Prime last night...

Both are kick-ass, but I spent more time   over HOS Prime.

Once again, if had to choose one... HOS Prime TFW! :thumbs2:

HOS Prime is a very nice novelty figure, but I have to go with Springer.

I just opened up my Warbot Springer...nice, but no comparison: HOS Knight Morpher wins hands down. Defender seems to have better QC, but that's about the only area he comes out ahead. He's more complex, which I'm a fan, but he's more on the fiddly side. If you can only get one, go KM-01 and don't look back...(just be sure to order from somewhere that will take care of you if you're a victim of QC!!!)
