I probably won't ever own Prime so I can't really discuss. Springer is my new favorite toy however!

Gotta go with Springer, but that's kinda biased considering I don't own Hearts of Steel Prime. HOS Prime is really awesome and would prolly buy him if I had some extra cash. Might get him in a few weeks or at the end of the month if he's still available. Prolly won't like him as much as FP Springer though, an incredible figure he is.

I don't have either. I'm trying to figure out which one to get still. I wish they'd used translucent blue plastic for the cockpit for "Springer", and I wish they'd put in a little bit more detail in the engineer's cabin (like windows) for HoS Prime. For $80, they should have included those. Otherwise, they rock.

Basically you're saying FansProject vs. Mastermind Creations. One company has profited off some of the most dynamic add-ons in the last few years, while the other is using this figure to prove themselves.

I believe both products are phenomenal and you're simply torturing yourself by not having both of them.

I seem to be in the vast minority that doesn't like FP Springer.

HOS Prime looks pretty neat, but really, I can live without them.

Sorry, I know it doesn't add much to the discussion, but it just goes to show that not everyone out there is digging FPs latest creation.

    Ho hum.

I chose HOS Prime over Springer for the first purchase, and don't regret it a bit - I love the HOS Prime. I want to get Springer next, but now the clear mini mp prime from igear has my attention. I know Springer's great - I've seen the reviews, I know FP's work, but he just keeps dropping in priority. Maybe it's because I don't care for the character.

Defender is the better product, especially QC-wise.

screw Defender man, get HOS Prime, i got Defender and was so disapointed i already traded him off for a RID Air Attack Optimus Primal and 40 bucks. i was kicking myself for buying that guy, its just not a fun toy, at least not for me anyways.

i know there are tons of people who love Defender and of course thats great, i still think 3rd party stuff is a great idea, i ust wasnt a fan of the figure, but i'de give ChooChoo Prime a chance if i had the money

I got them both yesterday. I think I like Springer a bit better. HOS Prime is awesome and all, but comparing the two, Springer has a bit more going for him. I don't regret either purchase at all though.

Got my ChooChoo Prime this morning. He's a blast to fiddle with, but he has some really sharp edges. My hands hurt after transforming him.

Personally, I'd get HOS Prime (being a huge prime fan, and a really big fan of the train alt. mode). Its hard to argue that Warbot isn't technically a better figure, though, being a true triple-changer with three very good modes.

I Loved the TPB of HOS and I'm a Optimus Prime fan so I got the Knight Morpher first and loving it. Springer? Maybe later.

They are both cool. HOSP is a pretty amazing toy, but the quality by fansproject is far superior.

I do, however, hope that MMC continues the HOS line, as I would like to pickup the other characters.

I ended up buying HOS Prime over Springer. Springer's turn offs were the diecast and the fact that it is more likely that Has/Tak will make a "new" Springer over any HOS products. I would have loved both, but couldn't justify that large of a purchase all at once and I'm holding out for more stock regarding Punch/Counterpunch.
