Probably. And anyone who blames this on violent video games is a fucking moron. The kid is obviously deranged or stupid and as far as we know had no prior exposure to said games.
But did the kid actually know shooting people was wrong? He won't get charged since he does not form the Mens Rea? He's four years old and second since when would a kid play Playstation at 4 years old. I was never that smart at age 4. It's horrible he shot him, but if he was 12 then I'd say he was truly guilty.
Don't think it's video games' fault, since his dad never bought him that PS in the first place. Blame must be placed on the dad I mean, placing a loaded gun next to your 4 yr old son WTF?
Thats funny when we played Power Rangers the kid playing the Green Power ranger would beat the shit out of us... Then again it was always the same kid. Anyways yeah Kids are violent its not just Video Games but TV, movie's, and what not. But seriously a Playstation wtf ?
Ha! Jokes aside for a moment though, this is really sad, and on more levels than I even feel like writing about. I mean, not only do we have yet another example that talking heads are gonna use to try & blame video games for what many (myself included) believe to have more to do with bad parenting/culture & of course kids being kids (not to mention a father dead)... but even just thinking about how this kid's life is gonna be as he grows up makes me cringe.
... How did he pick up the gun with those tiny little hands? BTW, Violent video games don't warp children. Lazy parents who don't show discretion or properly watch their children warp children.
I'm willing to bet there are other issues here we don't know about. The fact the kid had a sense of entitlement shows some bad parenting. My kid has asked for stuff, and was disappointed when I said no, but only ever threw a tantrum ONCE. She got her butt wore out, and always accepted "no" from then on without getting mad. I have loaded guns in my house now and am not the least bit worried about my kid shooting me because I know my kid, and raised her to respect firearms.
Yes. He deserved it. A 4 year old has no real judgement, that's why they aren't supposed to be around dangerous things. It's just a shame this idiot didn't get capped before he got a chance to breed.
More like a spoilt brat to me. Probably gets his way and the dad refuses this round and gets it. Very unfortunate, but I blame the parents for this sort of upbringing.
A four year old over a playstation? I think I still watched Barney when I was four, not played video games. Whats with kids these days, seriously.
