I found this folder at a thrift shop today and it had some art that I'm not familiar with. Is anyone familiar with this piece? This image is just using my camera, but if this hasn't been documented before, I do have access to a good scanner at school.

Not familiar with that piece, but the art definitely looks G1-ish.

    Nice find!

Boy, I would've loved to have that to carry my homework!

It's obviously a 1980s TF folder because of the lettering and appearence (and style) of G1 Jazz and Starscream. From the condition it's in, I'd say it's worth something.

Reminds me of an old read-along story record (I made a cassette copy shortly after) I found, but I don't have the book.

I think I've got one of those somewhere. Or at least something very like it.

Alphie might know. You might want to PM her and ask, because she's into that kind of stuff.

I have one with Prime on it, same exact style. It has bio's of G1 on the inside pockets. Perfect condition, and I can assure you it is from the 80's! I remember getting it and taking it to elementary in '85 or so.

If I remember right there were 3 versions all with the corresponding G1 box art.

    Jazz vs Starscream
    Prime vs Ravage
    Megatron vs ???

I actually had them back in the day. No clue where they are now.

I believe my younger bro--member jon3pnt0 here--had the TF Trapper Keeper that had all three folders, including the one pictured. I don't believe the folders were ever sold individually, but then it's hard to remember specifically after 20+ years.

    found a bunch of 'em

I found a bunch of them - at least 10-20 of each of the 3 designs - for 25 cents each at the Hartville MarketPlace (Hartville Ohio Flea Market and Market Place) If you want any, let me know and I'll see what I can do. I can get them today (Aug. 25), but I don't know when the guy will be back or if he will have them again. E-mail me at dboord@hartmp.com.

I still have mine. I drew hand-made multiplication tables on the inside of Galvatron's. I think it was long division that drove him insane, not the lava baths. :lol
