thought i would post the direct link to the website

    http://www.actoys.net/bbs/read.php?tid-258335.html

that figure so totally owns the classics optimus prime figure

the thing is practically a micro masterpiece optimus prime figure

the only way the guy could ever top that would be to reapint it as magnus and give it a set of fully transformable trailer armor for it to cyber bond with for the ultra magnus fully armored form

just my thoughts but that is what classics optimus prime should have been

don't get me wrong people the classics optimus prime figure is a good toy in its own right but as far as i am concerned that figure there so totally takes it to the next level.

    That looks awful.
THS Hybrid Convoy is a better "mini Masterpiece" Optimus Prime.

I like the robot mode but the grill on the alt mode is horrible.

What the hell is it? Is it from a new line or something? A custom job? Looks very interesting! Any idea on a release date and cost?

I disagree with most of you... this looks frickin' GREAT!

Damn nice for a scratch build. I like the THS Hybrid Prime, but a finished version of this one would probably impress me more. My only gripe is the overly recessed grill in truck mode. Otherwise, the truck works for me. It looks heavy-duty... rugged...

Overall, way nicer than Classics OP, especially considering the lack of kibble. Amazing skillz on display here.

Reviewing it as a kitbash: It's phenomenal. I won't say a single bad thing about this toy, because after all...it IS a kitbash. To make anything kitbashed that's even half-decent would be amazing!

Reviewing it as "what classics prime should have been": Er....sometimes (but not always), "good" for kitbash is not the same as "good" for something done by a company with much more money and manpower than kitbashers. The robot mode and truck mode are both deficient of what I'd call "what classics prime should be," and while it's a very impressive scale-down of MP Prime...it's like the cheaper, less-effective version of MP Prime. A poor man's MP Prime.

Yeah, definitely a kitbash. Some of those parts look like Legos.

But I wish I could build something from scratch that turned out that cool.

That's not that bad at all. The midsection is to extended in robot mode and the truck mode leaves much to be desired, but overall for a scratchbuilt job it's absolutely amazing.

    Just what I was thinking...

Looks great for a Kitbash, but the torso is too long to make it better than other Optimus'

Looks like it is the skinny one (in the middle) that can be transformed... not the one on the right ? I like that one on the right side better...

I agree that the one on the right is the nicer one, though I suspect that they are both made to transform... just 2 versions of the "prototype". The one on the right looks like the main difference is the Gundam-style "skirt" on the hips, which helps him look less lean... though overall, the lanky proportions are actually pretty cool. It's very stylized, so I can see why people might not dig it, but I think it's a great rendition of Prime... who always had a sort of lanky, long-legged frame anyway.

Prime looks like he has back problems. Ouch, stand up straight you dumb truck.

Either that or he's doing the pelvic thrust... in every picture.

This has nothing to do with that custom. Ya know... for all his brickness, I still thinks it's funny that the G1 Optimus prime toy is the best G1 Optimus Prime toy. A decent Robot mode (for it's time. In fact, if the legs could move forward he'd have better articulation than most Armada toys) and a great, fun vehicle mode. (I like trucks)

I disagree that Prime alays had long lanky legs (in the show, I presume that's what you mean) he was always beefy and had average-beef legs and arms and body.

That's great! If you look closely you can see the parts of RM-01 he has used in the kitbash... I'd buy it, kinda looks like a young Prime.. has a sort of Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime vibe going for it.

Why would anyone want to take a Robot Masters Optimus and Pat Lee-ify it??
