Who thinks Hasbro should make reissue Fortress Maximus or Brave Maximus in ether plain plastic or full metal. It would probably run us close to same price as the G1 Fort Max but it would be pretty awesome.

Yeah, it won't happen. When Brave Max was released in the Car Robots line in Japan, Hasbro wouldn't bring it to the USA as an RID toy because it didn't pass the break test.

We ALMOST had Brave Max over here for RID, but it got canceled because of the failed "drop test". Then they were going to bring Metroplex over instead, but he failed, too...

So then what's the point of making this thread?

What's your "reissue idea"? Just reissue it?

Do I think Hasbro "should" reissue it? No. It fails the drop test, therefore illegal to sell in the US, thus it is not something a company "should" do. Would I like them to do it? Eh... maybe.

And just consider the shipping costs of a full metal Fort Max.

One small problem with your argument is that Hasbro don't currently distribute toys in LaLa land.

    Sorry for the reality check.

An all full metal Fortress Maximus would require a new mold too, as molds made for metal and plastic cannot be interchanged. So every piece that was metal on a Binaltech figure needed a separate identical molding piece used for plastic on the respective Alternator figure.

In the early 2000's the Fortress Maximus character from Car Robots was intended on being release in the US for around 100 bucks I believe was the price point. What happened is the toy does not break a drop test that is required in the US now. Basically the toy needs to be dropped from 6ft onto a hard surface (I believe) and if it breaks, they need to be in safe pieces that would not cut or hurt a child. Hasbro takes their QA very seriously. That said, we could see a release from Japan, though my guess is we aren't because the price would be around 250-300 USD based on prices we're seeing for recent releases.

For my two cents, I would like to see a release that is similar to the original 1987 release. I already have a Car Robots one.

Couldn't Hasbro do it if they put a huge sticker on the box that says something like this:

INTENDED FOR ADULT COLLECTORS 18 AND UP

    ?

But I doubt either Hasbro or Takara will ever reissue any Maximus.

    Or should that be Maximii?

How come they can get away with selling gigantic Star Wars toys but not Brave/Fort Max?
