    greetings fellow Transfanatics,

I have been buying/selling TF's on Ebay for over 10 years. I have NEVER EVER EVER come across a m.i.S.b FortressMaximus. I have seen plenty of MIB's but never a MISB. Does it exsist? Did someone buy a FM back in 88,89' and actually never open it?

There was one sold on these boards not all that long ago. I guess the problem is that the glossy finish on the box would just come off where the tape was, so most all of them had tape that just peeled off over time.

Say my grandparents owned an old mom and pops toy store that has long been out of business and they kept their old unsold stock in the basement all these years. I happen to be cleaning it out for them and found a case of MISB Fort Max. How much can I sell each of these?

    Sigh... Only if it's true....

I have actually held one in my hands during a toy show in Edmonton last spring. Of course the guy was watching me like a hawk and wringing his hands in fear of me dropping it. It was not for sale, but I nave seen them on e bay for anything from &5000 to $8000

Think how much a MISB Fort Max that was AFA graded would cost.

a couple years ago, a MISB FM c-9 would get $10k. An AFA MISB FM would cost more than most of us make in a year :)

I've seen a couple on ebay but I haven't seen a fortress maximus in that condition japanese or american version. But that price is just ludacris. I'm thankful I got a couple of Brave Maximus when car robots came out and just bought the accessories on ebay.

I've never played with a Fort Max before. I remember seeing him at TRU as a kid, and my mom saying "get a grip". Maybe one day I'll come across one somehow. I'm somewhat of a completist when it comes to my g1 figures, so getting a Fort Max, for me, could end up being crazy expensive.

AFA 85 Fort Max US went for $7,000.00 4 years ago.
MISB C-9 US Fort Max went for $8,000.00 1 year ago from a respected US Seller to Shanghai, China.

The Fort Max for sale on these Boards was a C-7 Chinese release.

On Ebay recently was in my opinion, a clever re-seal.

    Just my 2c

I thought you might drop in.
I can't believe there actually is an AFA 85 fortmax. With a box that size how could it not take some damage?

I've always wondered how much trouble it would be to crack one of those acrylic cases open..

I dunno.. I'd never buy anything that wasn't in a box with a window " MISB " .. how do you know its actually in the box.. could be a brick in the box instead..
