I just recently got Fortnite for the Xbox One, was just curious if anyone else is playing the game? Either mode. The Battle Royale mode itself is free, just an FYI. As far as I know, PC and Xbox players can play together, not sure how that works exactly, but yeah... Xbox GT - Knightmare Phil
It's you vs. 99 other players. You get dropped off in an island, have to find guns and survive. You start with a pickaxe to demolish structures, but otherwise S.O.L. You can play single, in a duo, or a squad of four. As time progresses, a field starts closing off the island, making it smaller, and smaller.
It's been gaining a lot of momentum in the last few months. Having Battle Royale available for the PS1, XB1 and PC/Mac for free is a big part of it. Combined with a full free to play release later this year and constant updates, it's predicted it will surpass PUBG.
Just recently started playing it due to some friends saying they wanted to make an online squad. I don't play the game unless one of them is online. It's fun, but I suck at it. What's funny is, I'm the worst on the team, yet I always survive the longest. I've gotten to where I was one out of two remaining players, but I lost that fight. It's not really aim that I'm bad at, it's just how long it takes me to find out who I'm fighting. :/
I play this Fortnite BR game a lot. My 2 sons were playing it for a while and now I play as well. Pretty fun game. My sons are very good at it. Myself....well it's less worse than before, so to say. We play a lot in squads, which is fun to do.
Ya know, I've been pretty excited for the upcoming Nexus War Finale only to learn fortnite scheduled said event, one they recommend logging onto an hour early, for 4pm ET! Might I remind this idiotic company that most of their target audience, and myself, although as a junior, I'm slightly beyond their target range, will be in school! While this might sound ridiculous to complain about, I've been waiting a few months for this to pan out as I'm a big marvel fan and now I'll have to watch youtube videos of the event that SHOULD HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED DURING THANKSGIVING WHEN PEOPLE ARE OFF AND OUT OF SCHOOL!
Occasionally I see players with Transformer related names in the game. Makes me wonder if it’s any of you.
