There's a complete Fort Max up for auction on Ebay, and I was wondering where I should cut off my bidding? It's at 261 now and I don't want to over pay. Any suggestions?

People pay over a thousand bucks for them, 261 is a comparatively good price.

Well, there is three days left.... Methinks my 400 isn't going to be enough.

If it's complete, but not in box, you're probably looking at somewhere between $600 to $900.

I think I've seen MISB Fort Max for close to $2000 (either a little under or a little over). One of the most expensive Transformers (that isn't a lucky draw) that's out there. Mr. Maximus is a holy grail for a lot of people for good reason. I'd love to have one... though I have no idea where I'd put him!

If you have it you should bid up to $500 for him,but if not however much you do have you can spend on him.Renidragon also brings up a good point about it being huge, but even tho he is you should still try to get him,as I have Fort Max and I love him and I find space to display him in all modes, and this is why.

    1. he only takes up about a square foot in robot mode.
    2. when he is in city or battle mode he takes up more space but I put other figures on him so it works out this way too.

Good Luck and hope you can get him,he is worth it.

Or you may wanna obtain a core robot first, then track down his accessories (part by part) later on. But I must warn that it will be pretty expensive when piecing him together in that sense.

Or just make sure that you save up abit first before hitting on him.

He's not that expensive as what a lot of people had perceived.

^ Well, judging by the amount of people that own at least one on TFW2005, I don't think he's that costly. :lol

I myself just recently purchased a Fort Max, don't have him yet but for me getting him was a TF collector MUST... for me. I didn't think I'd be able to get him @ the price I did but I did save up for him... still a pretty petty but better now then down the road right? I got the japanese version? it's yellowed a bit but it comes with the sword, with all accesories, styrofoam & box! for under a grand to boot! I guess it depends on the actual person & how much they REALLY want the big guy.

I say go for it! all the best of luck in your bidding!

yeah fort max cost a lot, parts alone will run you at least $120 for the head alone

bodies can be had relatively inexpensively though....

One could also get a Fort Max body and get some repro parts to complete it, if by having repro parts isn't an issue for the person desiring one.

the highest these fort max go for in mint condition can easily be in the $1,200 plus price range.

so my guess is this one will go for over $600.

the price will be higher than normal due to it being christmas season. ebay auctions around this time end very high.

IMHO,A ebay link would help others in this thread. determine the condition of the figure. then determine how much it will cost. or how much they think it should end for in the ebay auction.

IMHO,A ebay question type thread without auction links. is like a pic inquery thread without pics.

Looking at the range of prices here makes me REALLY look forward to the replica KO coming down the line... If it's in the realm of 300 MISB, he'll find a home with me.

when i bought mine a couple of years ago i got him for 1200.00, but to me having him on the shelf is worth it,but go as high as you can. The only way i was able to get him was the money that was left from the loan when i bought my house. but anyway good luck on him.
