I didn't see a topic about this anywhere so I thought I would make one. The Associated Press: Sci-fi's grand old man, Forrest J Ackerman, dies I was really saddened to hear this. I love the Sci-Fi and Horror genres. I didn't really know much about Uncle Forry until almost 2 years ago when I watched a documentary called "The Sci-Fi Boys". This really taught me who he was and I was interested when I found out that he wrote "Famous Monsters in Filmland". Which my brother has several issues of. He was an awesome guy. The man who coined the term "Sci-Fi". It's a sad year for this genre. First Stan Winston now Forry. It makes me wonder how long Harryhausen and Bradbury have left. We truly have lost one of the best.
