I'm not sure if this is news worthy or not. If its not, my apologies. Mods please feel free to move this as necessary if that's the case :)

Today on a mini hunt, I came across 3 HFTD Firetraps. But it didn't look right:

Is this normal to find foreign packaging in the U.S.? I swear this is the first time I've ever ran across something like this....

Packaging used for Canada, South America, non-English speaking markets on the American continent, i believe?

Edit: Since there's a Ross price tag on them, it's apparent they weren't circulated through normal distribution channels.

I think so. But I think its weird that I found that. Interesting because I see pics of firetrap's cards and the back never had a promo of backfire.......hmmmm....oh well :D  This makes me wonder if we're starting to get other places' leftovers or unwanted stuff...

The PCC Steamhammer I picked up at Borders right before they closed was in international packaging. This might be something limited to closeout chains or places that don't get their product direct from Hasbro.

That's Mexican/South American packaging. It's only English and French in Hasbro Canada stuff. .

That's not uncommon on close out releases, or if Hasbro is short on "authentic" domestic product, they'll ship international stuff to fill orders.

I recall back in 2005, Toys R Us was still carrying the 3.75 GI Joe line, and to keep stock on their shelves, Hasbro shipped them international packaged versions of wave 5.

Not surprising. I remember picking up an Animated Wreckgar from Marshalls with Spanish on the box.

IIRC, someone in the Pennsylvania sighings board found a Japanese Cyberverse Ironhide.
