For those who openly display their figures, have you encountered yellowing?

For any of you who openly display your figures in loose condition whether it be on shelves, a bookcase, or on top of a table, etc., have you experienced yellowing of any kind?

I hear oxidation only happens when there is air flow in and around objects, but if the item is kept inside a cabinet or case of some sort, it reduces the chances of oxidation/yellowing.

Can anyone expand on this or care to voice their opinions on the matter? Would love to hear what you guys think. Thanks.

I have a couple yellowed figures. Not TF's but my dumbass didn't think about it and stuck a couple white figures( Sigma 6 Storm Shadow & 8" Madman) right in front of an east facing window. Whoops... That's all I've had go yellow on me while it was in my possession. All my stuff is in open air bookcases.

Same here - I left a couple on a shelf that had a window behind it - STUPID.

Other than direct sunlight, I've not had any figures yellow badly.

I figure contact with sunlight is also a factor and not just air.

I think heat might also have something to do with it, I have a ghost of starscream, never seen sunlight always been in my closet, but my house gets pretty damn hot in the summer time. I recently took it out of the closet and noticed it has started to yellow... :(

anyone want to trade a ghost of sunstorm for a ghost of starscream. lol!!!!

heat and sunlight are the bad combo and evil alone. It is plastic it will disitigrate eventually in a couple of 1000 years or so.

The best way is to have normal room, not to hoot. It doesent mather much if you get it a bit cold. but never to hot. Stay away from sunlight at all cost and use special lights. Dunno their names in english. That only give out white light.
