For those of you that bought the Walmart 2 pack with the Beginnings DVD, you already know by now that upon opening the 2 package, both DVD's inside are individually shrink wrapped. You know what that means, don't ya? ;)

For those wondering, I already did it. I returned just the movie DVD and said I no longer have the receipt. They still gave me a refund. :)  Only for the single disc version mind you, but still, getting back most of the money is better then getting back none of the money. So I basically scored the Beginnings DVD for like 3 bucks. ;)

Then I went to Best Buy and got the HD DVD. :)

They actually gave you cash back and not store credit? My local Wal-Marts would never do that!

So... you blatantly admit to theft?

You might have missed where he said he paid 3 bucks for the beginnings dvd. Wal-mart left the door open, so its not an illegal action. Because they gave him back what he would have paid for the single dvd, and sold the beginnings dvd for 3 bucks.

Uh, how is that theft, exactly? He PAID for the DVD and now returned it for a refund. And since they only refunded him the price of the single disc dvd, he still ended up paying $3-4 for the prequel dvd (which was roughly their mark-up for it). Wal-Mart can still now sell the perfectly shrink wrapped DVD he returned. It may be a bit sneaky, but I don't see how it's really theft...?

Except they don't sell the beginnings dvd seperatly. Still theft, no matter how you look at it.

theft is getting something you didn't pay for. When you pay 20 bucks for the 2 Dvd edition, and only get 15 back for the single disc version. You pay 5 bucks for the 2nd dvd, therefore you stole nothing.

Gotta go read the definition of theft. Its not theft because he paid something for it. Its really a legal gray area, because he got what he paid for.

Ah, you're one of those types. Tries to morally justify theft. Good luck with that.

And you're one of the types who thinks themselves self-righteous and holier-than-thou. By the way, when you drive do you drive the speed limit or 5 over, because 5 over is breaking the law. And you should get a speeding ticket for that. Don't come on here with your self-righteousness and try to condemn someone finding a loophole in the system and benefiting from it. When you benefit from the fact that most cops won't ticket for 5 miles per hour over.

Awesome. If the extra dvd was worth it I'd do that.

Really, all this guy did was seperate a limited edition box. I don't see how its stealing.

Yeah, and I'm supposed to believe that. Frankly, my friend, I'm sure you plenty enough illegal stuff to void your statement of self-righteousness. You may nitpick and have a problem with it, but I guarantee Wal-mart isn't and they could careless that someone found a loophole. They got the extra money they charged for that dvd.

Graveyard, this is stealing. Not receiving full price for the 2-disc set, isn't stealing.
