    Actually this retrobrite process is a little different than just soaking the parts in H.P. - it uses oxyclean as well, and you can make a gel and apply it that way. I may have to try this.

    I often get asked about removing yellowed plastic. I've used Bleach White for white wall tires, works perfectly, and most auto supply stores carry it.

    It removes the yellow on Jetfire but will it remove the reds?

    I tried this and didn't get much effect out of it.

    The science is really interesting, it explains what they think causes the yellow/brown of the plastic, and they explain why hydrogen peroxide helps, and why it doens't hurt the plastic. They also tell you why chlorine bleach works, but why you shouldn't use it.
