Here's my first TF Custom! Yeah you know who ya' are, don't hide! "Cybertron Cy-Kill" Brought to you by Two hours of painting and a Cybertron Ransack! I have to admit this was kind of fun; I might make this a project in my spare time and try to see how many Go-bots I can create. Why Go-bots? I don't see too many customs of them, and they deserve a little recognition. Enjoy!
Sweet. I'm a bit of a GoBots fan, and given the $$ they typically go for, I'd like to pick up a few more. I really need to get those damn power suits! Show us anything else you come up with.
That is cool, I've been wanting to do that to a lugnutz or hightail. As crappy as Go-Bots are, I would buy a MP Cy-kill.
3rd gobot fan reporting I actually considered Ransack to be Cy-Kill from the very beginning, so for me this justifies it. Good work
Wow. Looks like the Cybertron Gobots project is a go! I appreciate all the feedback, thanks! I know what you mean about Ransack. To me, it was his transformation scheme (of course), and the face that just SCREAMED Cy-Kill, I found an extra Ransack, and the rest is history. The only issue I'm facing with doing more, is scale. Ha! Leader-1 is a natch for my next project (he needs to be redeemed after his Minicon appearance...Hasbro was cold for that one!), but I don't think I have the courage to paint a Classics Startscream all grey, lol! Yeah, they were cheap little toys, but I have a weird fondness for 'em. They were two bucks at K-Mart back in the day, so I ended up getting way more of them than I wanted. And don't worry folks, I won't be using an Optimus of any kind to make a Staks... Thanks again!
Heh... my Leader-1 figure went down the same hole as my number 2's as a child. "Oooh. Leader-1 go down the hole..." NICE repaint, Ransack looks great in those colors.
I think that's why he said it. The irony of the planet being called Gobotron is to easy to make fun of. And for what they were Gobots weren't crap. They were small matchbox size toys with diecast metal and nice modes. Now make a Scooter! Could probably make a Turbo out of Cybertron Swerve (Since he is red and all).
The bastard cousins of Transformers deserve some respect. Cheap Knockoffs were great in those days. I remember wanting a Soundwave and my parents not being able to afford it. I got Cassetteman from a flea market. I think I paid $6. One of my prized possessions in my collection is a boxed one. Not necessarily the most expensive or wanted piece but I love it. So to all those who love Gobots ROCK ON!!!!!! (Kinda hard to see but the box is on the right and he is standing on some boxes)
Yup, that and the allusion to "Transformers: Cybertron" (Gobots: Gobotron, get it? Mwhahaha . . . . . eh oh well . . .)
