Seems like there should be more coverage of this in the media.

Discovery has the footage in their possession now, so we probably won't see it until this new show comes out.

Holy crap, that's awesome. I used to love cryptozoology as a kid, so this is pretty exciting.

Discovery bought the footage because they want the ratings, we'll have to wait and see.

Hopeful, but cautious. Don't want my hopes to be burned down like a straw house.

Sure is a lot of hype for footage that doesn't seem to be posted anywhere, and there sure isn't a whole lot of scientific analysis so much as anecdotal accounts and mythology.

Interesting... though this raises a few questions. My first thought with the name "Cadborosaurus" was that it was a hadrosaur (like Iguanadon or Edmontosaurus), but it's a sea reptile, then.

One, if they were indeed sea reptiles - not dinosaurs, since dinosaurs are a different species entirely - how the hell are they living in Alaskan waters? They must've done some serious evolving to survive in such a cold environment - could they be warm-blooded? Then again, the Plesiosaurs (usually what the Loch Ness Monster is called) were said to live in some damn cold waters back in their time, according to Discovery. They could possibly be living in some underground caves that are pockets of warmth in the Alaskan waters...

Two, these must be some rather small creatures if they're chased by belugas. How big are the belugas anyway? Then again, they could just be rushing in a pack to protect the juvenilles and confuse the belugas, who were really going after the juvenilles.

I'll be very interested to see this. I bet you that Lost Tapes on Animal Planet will do this sooner or later, if they get a fourth season.

Exactly. Why is discovery in possession of this footage? If I captured footage, good damn footage where you can distinctly make out what it is and is not, I'd be sending it to every marine biologist and zoologist out there.

I hope it's some good footage, and not just a bunch of misidentified walruses or something. Do belugas hunt walruses? Or maybe it was a bunch of seals/sealions.

Because the fishermen that were in possession of the footage probably sold it to the highest bidder.
