Grilled cheese sandwiches and a bowl of tomato soup, homemade chilli, shrimp gumbo, and homemade mac & cheese. All of those are great during the winter months.

 

Hot chocolate and donuts~!  

 

Anything that isn't Pumpkin Spice.

 

I love winter so I don't need comforting. But I would say a brownie in a mug.

Hot chocolate and eggnog are my favorites. They are less for comfort as I prefer colder weather and more to complete the feel of the season... which is comforting in and of itself.

Sitting in the fishouse, catching, and cooking fresh fish, with a side of hash browns or corn beef has is my winter comfort food.

 

That list takes me back to my gram's house... this was her list of comfort foods, especially for all the grandchildren. Super yummo. She also made a veggie soup that was to die for as well, a tomato based one made with the juice of & tomatoes from her garden that she canned herself... not processed food at all.

Winter is the only time I drink coffee anymore, a cup of coffee with either pumpkin spice (tho not a serious pumpkin fan, love the smell better than the taste) or my absolute fave, white chocolate mocha peppermint! I actually like those you can buy in the grocery stores now, they're certainly cheaper and you can make it to your taste.  

 

Giant bowl of miso ramen loaded with egg, corn, pork, beef, nori, moyashi, and pickled vegetables. A slice of butter too because why not?   Oishii!



My wife had the smaller bowl of pork ramen.



Also schnitzel parmesan.

 

Chocolate souffle... ^_^

 

Technically a drink, but hot chocolate is my favorite thing to drink during the winter.
