Thanks! It's not so bad, especially in the new T-rex mode it's fine.

Definitely worth getting for the robot mode alone, he was awesome in Fall of Cybertron, I need him to sit alongside Shockwave. Hope it comes to he UK soon :-/

I love the fact he towers over FE Optimus. That was I was hoping for and I'm glad it gave us that. I'm also grateful that he's able to stand up without any heel spurs.

My big complaint however that Grimlock's T-Rex mode looks to be smaller then even FOC Shockwave. Hopefully that's not too big of an issue.

BTW would anyone do a comparison pic of FOC Grimlock with TFA Grimlock so we can see the size comparisons of the figures in both T-Rex and Robot mode?

Good idea, especially since Animated had the open dino chest as well, and pulled it off nicely. The main difference here is that the chest doesn't split and go behind the shoulders, but seeing a comparison would be good.

Disappointed in his simplicity, but seems like a decent voyager overall.

I would but I don't have TFA Grimlock. But if anyone does and can take a photo of him next a CHUG or FOC figure I can size match via that.

I got to say, I love how this review starts of with re-creating a famous scene from the related media, down to the trivial details like whether Grimlock can actually grab hold of (and bite off) Shockwave's arm. That's exactly the type of stuff I love seeing in reviews!

Nope, can I join the club? I think it's flat out rubbish. I honestly can't see a single thing to like about it.

he might be big but considering his dinosaur mode is hollow as heck he probably has just as much mass a standard voyager. lack of dino articulation really kills it for me.

Wow, the figure looks great! Thanks for the review and the comparisons. I can deal with the Dino mode downsides, and I'm just happy that he's a good size in bot mode.

    Compared to FE Optimus:

Scaled using Optimus as the comparison point, FoC Grimlock should be about this large:

Just a heads up. I posted the review within 30 minutes of taking him out of the box. I've had more time with the figure now and it is becoming more positive. The dino mode could be better, no way to get around that BUT the robot mode is solid and fairly kibble free.
