Whatever happens, I'm curious to see these two. While this is not something I am pinning hopes on or trying to show off about. I just wanted to submit and off the wall idea that's been on my mind for a couple of days.

Recently pictures of (Senator) Ratbat surfaced and - again on RobotKingdom - he is listed not as a Takara Generations figure there but as a Takara FoC figure. Maybe that's just a tiny mistake since most Takara Generations figures are from FoC so far. What I'm getting at is the slight, outside chance that these two, like Ratbat might be G1 - possibly by way of IDW - Classics figures. There was also recent news of an IDW G1 Optimus Prime in the works too, right?

This oddball theory would have it that RK have assumed that a) Takara Generations and FoC are synonymous and b) that these will be the Fall of Cybertron incarnations, supported by concept art for one of the: Springer. Of course I could have easily missed something in the thread where they've been confirmed as FoC and I would be just fine with that eventuality.

 

Very curious to see astrotrain...........(intrigued is probably a better word)

I'm glad I have GDO Springer for the traditional helicopter alt mode. I'll definitely be picking this up for the triple changing Cybertronian goodness, though.

I wouldn't mind if you were right. Secretly I'm hoping that it ends up being the Nick Roche Springer design.  But in the end all I ever really want is awesome bot mode.

 

I thought Astrotrain was in one of the games of Download Content... If he was he should have a design - but I've never seen a pre-earth Astrotrain as yet in CGI or art form.

It came out with the first few "Classics" figures in early 2007 before the first Bay movie came out, IIRC.
