I put mine in Classics but he still doesn't fit in as well as I'd like. There's something just off about him. Could use an Earth mode (or at least something more interesting than a stick cannon with tiny wings) and a larger size.

I'm tempted to try customizing a Shockblast but my customizing skills aren't incredibly great. I might just crack and buy a custom off ebay one of these days.

He fits in about as much as a grown naked man does in a fifth grade girls changing room.

Its one's opinion. And for the most part, it's a question about whether people think the WFC/FOC aesthetic fits into Classics or not. Although in Shockwave's case, his short stature also something to consider. I personally think he fits in perfectly.

He's just too short. The stature for the character itself just doesn't fit in well. He sticks out just like Classics Grimlock or Maketoys Giant in a classics display. Yeah size matters. Individually or in FOC display he's awesome.

Well in the current IDW comics, a lot of characters are using their Fall of Cybertron designs.

I'd say yes, but that's just my opinion. His slightly shorter stature isn't really an issue to me, but that's very much a personal preference thing.

Visually, he fits, seeing as how Shockwave didn't have an earth mode to begin with.

Let me put it like this: If you're the kind of person who used WFC Soundwave as a Classics Soundwave, then Shockwave should work for you for the same reasons. (hell, I'd even go as far as saying that Shockwave works BETTER in this respect, since Soundwave DID have an earth alt-mode).

important to note we havent had any earth classics toys in the new shrunken size, if its that much of an issue you may want to look at aec to add to the g1 cast.

me myself think he fits nicely with my classics shelf i will post a picture later in the cool stuff board

I'd agree with him being too short for a Classics display. If he was a voyager, it wouldn't be a problem. I currently use the DotM Shockwave on my Classics shelf. It's not a perfect solution, but size-wise it fits - and I don't think it looks that terrible.

I have two Shockwaves. One for my Classics shelves (whenever I get around to putting them back together) and one for my Prime shelves (which are active).

Easily amongst the worst uses of hyperbole.

DotM Shockwave I could understand, but FoC Shockwave looks INTENTIONALLY very G1-influenced.
