Yeah, I felt they missed a trick by not showing that - if anything's going to sell you on what they were talking about, it would be that.
I don't get why you cannot play as Metroplex. Why do you control him as Optimus? Seems kinda weak to me.
This is not the Atari 2600 days, they could do that so much better. Plus, then there are other epic things that can be done. Fight Bruticus, destroy other things, etc, etc, etc. It's like making a king kong game and play as Faye Ray.
Metroplex fighting Bruticus is not a fight. Metroplex could step on Bruticus or punch the Nemesis if it is around but this is his home, not something to rampage through. Also if you were an elephant it is hard to know what is important to ants, you would need direction.
OK, that was pretty damn cool, though when he said "you control Metroplex" I was kinda disappointed that he didn't mean literally, too. But I get it. It was funny when M Tieger stepped out and made that silly hipster man look tiny, kinda like Metroplex does with Prime.
fighting Bruticus as Metroplex would be less strenuous than flicking a baby ant off your arm. provided you can even see him of course
Well, I am admitingly a little buzzed to think of a proper game situation, but there could be something that lets you destroy hordes of Decepticons and yet still yield a challenge into playing Metroplex. I just think it is a cop out to control him like this was some form of stradegy game. I want to be able to crush and destroy a shit load of stuff. Plus, why if I was Optimus want to use Metroplex to send missiles. Wouldn't I say, Metroplex, crush the shit out of that area right there where there are 100s of Decepticons.
Metroplex does do more than just fire missiles. Did you see the new gameplay clip up on the front page. Metroplex steps into the foreground and shoulders a cannon into rubble. Awesome!
I know everyone likes to argue and such, all I am saying is, it would be nice to feel like what it is to be Metroplex vs. what it feels like to order Metroplex around.
i agree with you. i was just stating the downsides. don't get me wrong, i'd love to smash other cities as Metroplex. it'd just be one-sided and after maybe a year or so, it'd get boring. but i'm with you on controlling 'Plex. that'd be fun as hell
Pretty cool. Nothing really wowed me here. And I spent the entire interview waiting for him to mention Grimlock the space T Rex.
