Didn't see this in the last news thread. I got the set today and Flip Sides has a Destron file card. She's #65.

It (lamely) justifies the use of a Destron box as packaging for the set. Twincast is of course the main event, and has preapplied stickers, but no Cybertron faction symbol.

That's been known since the eHobby profile was available. Flip Sides is a Decepticon spy, programmed to appear like a normal Autobot femme, but she's unwittingly waiting for the right command to submit all the info she's gathered to Megatron and company, basically.

 

That's not what I wrote. I simply confirmed it was a Destron file card, previously unpictured. In addition, she has no regular faction symbol on her, only a Destron rubsign.

The question occurs to me: Would she prefer Rumble in red or blue??  

 

Blue, for sure, yep, definatly.  

 

If she's #65, who is #66, then? Orion Pax and Dion were #67.

Or did they have two cards?

She only had #65 in the purple. Twincast has the #C-116 card visible in the box. I thought there might have been a Cybertron card for her, with the shell personality and stats, but there is only the one card. I don't know who #66 is, but I don't have most of the e-Hobby repaints.

 

She's spooning in Soundblaster's chest right now, with Frenzy. Or Rumble. Hard to tell with the red chest. Far be it from me to tear the lovers apart!

Another point of interest, and this may have been known prior to now, but she has the schematic "weakness" stickers for both Scorponok and Fort Max.

I might, I have one coming to compare original and Ehobby. Then off to the Junkion exchange.

 

Thanks for the info. I'm rather bummed because I had planned to ignore the whole doublespy story and make Flip Sides and Autobot permanantly. Oh well. I guess I could always just throw away the card and pretend I never got it.  And the whole thing with Twincast not having a faction symbol is ok with me. I still got a bunch of spare Autobot symbols left over from New Year's Convoy 

By the way, fosterlager, where did you order yours from? I got mine from Action HQ and was wondering if they'd sent theirs out yet since my order status still says 'pre=order.'

 

C-65 is Steeljaw & C-66 is Ramhorn

She doesn't have a C or D designation in her number.

Magnificus is 68, Orion Pax and Dion is 67, E-hobby Galvatron is D-62.

Don't know is they made a 66, E-hobby has skipped some numbers. Some of them don't even have numbers, like the Cobalt Sentries and the Insecticon Clones.

 

Make Sure you put Faction on left Shoulder like the Original.

I assume the Cobalt Sentries also have their numbers on the back of their cards, and the set number on the instruction sheet.

The only numbers skipped are 78-83 for the e-Hobby Gobots.

 

Mine came from BBTS, which is just across the river in Wisconsin from me. I suppose my proximity to their warehouse is why mine arrived so soon.

It occurs to me that there is a lot of similarity between BW Blackarachnia and Flip Sides. Perhaps "Flippy" may be able to assert free will and become an Autobot permanently at some point. Sounds like potential for good fanfic.

 

I hope Flip Sides appears on ebay someday. I just can't justify buying another Twincast. I won't bother with the fantasy of her becomming an Autobot, she'll just be one of G1 Soundblaster's cassettes.

 

See there's a dilema because I like the look of Twincast in the show, with the insignia on his chest like Blaster. But I realize that the original toy had the symbol on the shoulder. So I just have to figure out if I want him to look like his show version or his original toy version. Oh what's to do? 

 

Doesn't Soundblaster have a bunch of extra details molded into the chest where Blaster's faction symbol normally goes? The shoulder would be the best place.

 

Got my twincast and blaster today from tfsource today  . Not opening up the soundbaster was pretty easy when i got the reissue. I had the orginal I could transform....but i dont have the orginal twincast....its calling me..must resist opening up the ....ARRGGGGG NEW CASSETTE...must....
