Not really surprised by both of these things. Both shows have tanked. At least Scrubs has years of awesome in front of it.

Scrubs wasn't canceled already? I know they had a couple lame seasons with ABC but that one pretty much flatlined years ago

Shame about Flashforward but I'm honestly not surprised about Scrubs - the proverbial shark had been jumped when most of the original cast departed.

At this point Scrubs' cancellation was a mercy killing. This last season was terrible.

Sorry to hear Scrubs got the ax but I'm not surprised one bit. When you get rid of most of the original cast at once you're just asking for a cancellation, ah well.

While I actually disagree about the last season (was actually surprised that I ended up liking it, fully expecting to hate it all things considered) I have nothing against it ending. As I said, I liked the last season, thankful that Dr. Cox was still a regular character, but it may as well have just been a different show. I don't know why they didn't market it as such seeing as they even changed the title screen to read "[scrubs][med school]".
Anyway, it was definitely very short of the show's best and I think My Finale was a great ending to the show in its original style.

I was greatly disappointed with the last season in one way however: Nobody ever punched Cole in the face...I can't fathom why.

These networks can pretty much kiss my ass.I've had it with my shows getting canceled. It's no wonder people don't watch the new shows, because they figure why bother if it's going to get canceled.I was gonna watch Happy Town, but I thought,it will probably just get the axe right away.So I put it on the DVR,and lo and behold, after two episodes they announce it's getting pulled. So I deleted it and saved myself the wasted time.So now Lost is almost done,Flash Forward is a goner,Reaper got canceled last year.V better pick it up this last episode because they haven't really accomplished much of anything. The only other good shows out there are Chuck and Fringe(the best show on TV).

Meh, I agree that Scrubs was limping on and needed to be put out of it's misery. I honestly never got into FlashForward though, so I'm not broken up about that one.

Shame about Flashforward, but I agree with other posters, seems like the Networks really don't give the shows a chance to acquire a following, and with DVR's now a lot of people are recording the shows and watching when they have time on the weekends, etc.
    Oh well.....

The real crime here is that Better Off Ted, the best comedy since Arrested Development, got canceled. Granted, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion as it hasn't even appeared in months despite having episodes in the can. Why it wasn't slotted into the new Wednesday night lineup where it would have fit perfectly, I dunno.

Scrubs really should have wrapped things up with the previous season. They even had a great "final" episode.

I tried FlashForward for a bit but just found it an arduous grind to watch.

I do agree that it's a shame that more shows aren't given any time to find their footing, and an audience. Shows like Cheers and X-Files would never have become what they were in today's tv environment.

I gave up on flashforward, it always seemed like everytime it took a step foward in the plot it would just 4 or 5 back. The book was quite interesting though.

I'm still reeling from the death of Eli Stone. That was such a good show, and because it was rushed to finish, had a weak series finale.

Flashforward was an interesting concept plagued by bad casting, poor character development, and shoddy storytellling. It deserved to get the boot.

At least Human Target was renewed.
