Yeah, the retro cover is the one I would be getting. The first 2 variants look to much the same and the Metal Gear style Megatron is a little to burry and sand looking. Retro's the way to go!

Ashley Wood's covers remind me of Bill Scienk..owitz (? can't remember the spelling) covers (Marvel TF #1 & #5, I think) - very impressive and an interesting take on classic characters. The Nick Roche covers are too cartoony & superdeformed for my tastes. But I think I'll pass on all of them since these issues were reprinted in graphic novel format a few years ago. IDW: give us more british comics that have not yet been reprinted, please!

On the Megatron cover, it's spelled "Gererations".

In their defense, proof-reading is hard. I couldn't pass 2nd grade.

Good news, horrible cover artist. Wood's stuff is cool, if you want an abstract painting. But for comic books it absolutely stinks. It killed my interest in the Metal Gear Solid series. It's worse than Jay Lee.

i hate the metal gear solid art too, and I too bought all of these when they were released in TPB I wish they would release some of the UK stuff that wasnt released either or do the black and white ones in Color,

I would love to see them done in color I was hoping that titan would do them in full size and color all package in a nice TPB but sadly they never did

    I don't get it.

You can get the original issue for $2, if not less...making the retro cover in particular kind of pointless, although that's an inside panel at least, not the actual cover.
The New Dimensions exclusive is the best of the covers as it's basically a straight-up modern version of the original, but it's not gonna be $2. Maybe if they were all only $1, which is actually what I thought they'd be when they said 'retro pricing.'

I have the original issues and most of the trades (hardback at that) already. The Titan US G1 TPBs can be gotten for as low as $5. There isn't much UK stuff that hasn't been reprinted...and those are cheap, too. This whole exercise just seems unnecessary...IDW overextending themselves and oversaturating the market just like DW.
