Flash Thompson As VENOM?

You think they should do a Flash Thompson movie as Venom as he's currently venom in Earth 616 (maisntream comics) or do a Eddie Brock movie?

 

If they want to make Venom a hero I'd say go with Flash especially if they plan to spin off of the Spidey movie.

 

Eddie Brock solo movie wouldn't work unless he was in the next Amazing Spidey first.

 

I will say though, it makes absolutely no goddamn sense, since Flash became heroic at the end of Amazing.

 

Wasn't Venom an anti hero at one point? He doesn't need to be a hardcore super villain.

 

The problem is, he starts off as villain, fueled by his own hatred of Parker and Spider-Man, his eternal hatred for Spider-Man is his achiles heel as a character, that's what always lapses him into villany, his hatred. He spends his character arc tyring to battle that hatred. That's the Venom's shtick.

Flash Tompson in the movies started off as an asshole, but he soon became a good guy. They'd need to either change that or it would be really weird for the character.

But then again, they changed Connors considerably as well, so I'm not sure.

 

That's Brock Venom Flash Venom is a bonafide hero.

Heck all they'd have to do is change the costume's origin*like an escaped goverment project instead of an alien* and have it bond to Flash who then decides to emulate his hero Spiderman. Can't tell you if it would be good but it wouldn't be hard to think of something like that.

 

I'd like to see Flash bond with the symbiote, try to use his new abilities for good but lose control, and by the end of the second/beginning of the third movie regain his sanity and team up with Spider-man against another villain.

 

I want Eddie Brock Venom in the second Spidey film. Have it leave Brock at the end and bond with Flash. Solo movie, team-up in third movie.

I think he gets that. He's just saying it would be random giving Flash the Venom symbiote because he's not much of a bully anymore but he's also not much of a hero either.

That works.

 

I would really like to see Flash-Venom in the movie screen!   I already mentioned back in the Amazing Spiderman movie topic but I thought it was too dreamy to be truth.

As others have said, I would like to see the Eddie Brock Venom as a villain in The Amazing Spider-man sequels and then let the Flash Thompson Venom have his own movie.

I'd be all for it. Have Flash leave to sign up for the army in ASM2, introduce Eddie Brock. Comes home a crippled war veteran in ASM3, have Eddie Brock become Venom and die at the end. Government gets their hands on the symbiote, then have there be a spinoff where they give it to Flash. I'd totally watch it.

 

Maybe Peter Parker can start investigating his parents' deaths again and he meets Eddie Brock (whose parents were also scientists that worked with Richard Parker and died in the same plane crash) in The Amazing Spider-man 2. As the two of them investigate Peer can find the symbiote and quickly realize how dangerous it is. After he takes it off, it finds Brock and he becomes the villain for the second half of the movie. In the end, Spider-man can defeat him and the symbiote and Brock are separated. The symbiote is then taken by the government and then we get an after credits scene that leads into the Venom movie with Flash Thompson.

 

Give more development and involvement for Flash in The Amazing Spiderman 2. If they do that right, then I would enjoy seeing Flash become Venom.

 

I don't care which human host is used for it, I just want a Venom movie without being connected to any other movie. I did enjoy the new Spidey movie, but I'd still rather this be entirely it's own thing.

Eddie Brock is better. The storyline for Eddie Brock is better.

Venom is supposed to have a BIG personal grudge against Peter Parker as a person. Venom does not just hate spiderman, he hates Peter too.

Yes Flash Thompson's character is a bully in the comics, but that is not nearly enough.

Eddie Brock has a personal grudge /envy with Peter Parker, that is what made the venom character so believable in the animated 90's series.

My only hope is that this time, they actually pick someone who is BIGGER than peter parker, to play venom.
