YES. I have a flac converter that I've been using to switch stuff to MP3s. It's kinda buggy, though; I've had to convert each flac file individually to MP3. I think it does .wav, too. PM me if you get a chance and I'll try and get you hooked up with more information on the converter.

EDIT: I just saw that you're configuring these for iTunes. I don't know if self-made MP3s are compatible with iTunes, 'cuz I don't use it. If you know that they can, then I guess you'll be set. :)

You'll want to find a program called "Flac frontend".

Flac is the format the concert bootlegging community is in love with at the moment. It annoys me because 1 concert ends up being 1gb of FLAC files instead of 100mb of MP3's or less.

Why are they in love with FLAC files? It doesn't seem to make sense, based on your description.

(btw, iTunes will play any .mp3 files.)

Flac does sound better. No doubts there. That's why the bootlegging community loves it. Better sound = bigger files.

I personally would rather just have my concerts in MP3 format for storage space purposes.

And a little reading up on FLAC if anyone's interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flac
