Hi! If your're like me and have broken or don't want to break your junkion's handlebar, than i have the fix for you! All you need is your Junkion and an exacto knife

Here's the rundown: Basically there is a little nub that prevents the handlebar to move when in bike mode. This little nub is the what causes to stress the plastic and eventually break the handlebar. So, were going to cut it off so we can manually transform the handlebar part while the automorph does the rest. So here is what the nub should look like

Here's what it looks like on Wreck Gar

Just take your exacto knife and cut away!

and just like that you are done! This is what it should look like after

Hope this helps! No your junkion is stress free! Side note: Hasbro tried to fix this. I noticed the nub was bigger on Wreck Gar than Junkheap so I guess they tried to relieve stress on the plastic. nonetheless mine still broke lol

Nice clear pictures, but pretty old news..
Of course looking through the tutorials there was never one made for this..

Your first paragraph is a bit misleading with the statement about the fixing them if the handlebars are broken, as it just details how to prevent the break.

A design flaw. I just don't know why the handle bars were designed this way.

Didn't even know this was an issue. I have 5 of these and never had a problem.

It's been an issue since day one on most Wreck-Gar figures. There was discussion/arguments about whether you should transform the way the instructions state. I chose not to because that can (& will) stress & possibly break the plastic. Using a fingernail to flip the handlebars out and/or cutting the rubber nub here does the trick & saves the brittle plastic from stressing or breaking.

Nice work on the tutorial! As you mentioned, no one (myself included) did one back when we were all doing this mod originally. This will help those who haven't done it & save them a lot of headache. Not sure how the plastic is on the Junkion, but Wreck-Gar was a wreck.
