The first console I owned was the Atari 2600. Combat came with the console so by default that was my first game.
first system ever was a pong clone with a light gun. i can't remember the actual name for the life of me. about a year later we got our first cart-based system, a nes with smb/duck hunt. the first non-bundled game that we got to go with it was the legend of zelda.
Atari 5200 (yeah, yeah, I know) w/ Pac-man. I think I may have gotten some other games that day also, but I distinctly remember Pac-man being the first game we fired up.
My older brother (by three years) had that original Pong video game system. So I remember playing that. But the first one I remember receiving was the Atari 2600. Pac-Man, Pitfall and Barnstormer were played repeatedly. Does that make me old?
My dad had a 2600, not sure when or where we had gotten it but I remeber playing the shit out of Combat and Pacman (until my mom stepped on the cart in high heels). My first console bought for me was the NES with SMB/Duck Hunt. I did some work with my dad with his business, to reward me he told me he was going to buy me a game. I was so looking forward to getting Ghostbusters for the 2600 but he bought me an NES instead. As a kid I probably wouldn't have known how horrible GB was but the NES was a damn amazing surprise. Also it was bought at Children's Palace. The first console I bought myself was the Dreamcast with Soul Calibur.
Ah, memories. My dad had a 2600 and an intellivision, I remember playing those. At 5 I got an NES with Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt. I remember being able to rent NES games at this store called "Phar-mor" or something. 99 cents to rent 3 games for 3 days. Oh snap.
the first one I ever got was the good old NES with Mario/Duck Hunt and the original gray gun. I remember bringing that sucker home from Brand Names. You couldn't pry it out of my little hands.
origional NES with mario/duck hunt/super track (yes i got the Triple cart w/my nes cause i got the pad too)
My first console was an Atari 2600 and Chopper Command was the very first game my parents got me. Activision games on the 2600 were the shiznit.
The first one I owned: a 7800 with Pole Position II and, purchased at the same time, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Centipede. The first console that I personally bought: a Genesis bundled with Sonic 1 and, purchased at the same time, MERCS and Revenge of Shinobi.
