Could the un-used molds of Titanium Arcee and Shockwave figures be used for the Universe line?

    1) Some of the 2007 Movie toys were originally designed with different head sculpts, as seen in the stock photos on the back of the packaging. Was it ever considered to use those heads for the redecos?

    2) Some toys have parts (particularly heads) attached to the rest of the body via a joint that would allow for articulation, but there are permanently attached parts (doors, fins, hinges, what-have-you) blocking them, thus allowing for about 0.1 degrees of articulation. How do design flaws like these happen?

Will the Robot Heroes sub-line continue for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2009?

Will someone from Hasbro come on WTF @ TFW podcast? Even if it to just talk about their thoughts on TF things and not give info on the future of the line. (Or give info. Whichever :)  )

    Hi,

I loved the movie figures and I am a huge fan of 1/18th scale figures (Star Wars and GI Joe). Is there a chance of seeing an upscale of some already existing characters like Bumblebee and Optimus Prime or Scoponok to 1/18th scale? We kinda got a Shia LaBeouf action figure thanks to the Indiana Jones toy line, how cool would it be to have a 1/18th scale Bumblebee to hang out with. If I may suggest, use the current delux model figure and upscale to 1/18th scale and include both heads (standard and battle mask).

    1. Besides the upcoming Predacon Bruticus and the Robot Heroes Optimus vs. Megatron pack, will there be anymore Robots in Disguise characters recieving representation in the 25th Anniversary line? Namely Sky-Byte, Scourge, and the Autobot Car Brothers?

    2. The Energon Sharkticon mold. Any chance we'll see it repainted? It was such a good mold and deserves to see some usage again as a G1 homage.

    3. Is there any plans to make a new Scourge to go with the new Classics Galvatron and Cyclonus in the 25th Anniversary line?

    4. What molds from the older toylines (Robots in Disguise, Armada, Energon, Beast Wars and Beast Machines) are unusable? I've heard that the Autobot Cars from RID are damaged and can't be used again. Any others?

    5. How many new figures can we expect in the following year in Animated, RoTF, and Universe/25th Anniversary?

    1) Are there any plans to release an updated "Classics" style Predaking in the current Universe line?

    2) Is it possible to include tech spec cards with the figures again, like what was released during G1 and Beast Wars?

    3) Are there any plans to bring back Robot Points or a similar mail away promotion program in the future?

And thank you for answering our questions.

Will we ever see Universe 2.0 get the following deluxes:
Brawn, trailbreaker, Gears, Beachcomber, Wheeljack, Jazz, Windcharger, kupp, arcee, springer(triplechanger), and cos-mos?

Will we ever get some G1 media that fills in the gap of how G1 Megatron attained and appended the Voyager Probe golden disc before BW Meg's theft of it? (Bots awoke in 83, Voyager left earth in the 70s, Megatron dies in 2005. So when did he ever get his hands on the disc to leave that hidden message? Also, when and where was it picked up to go to cybertron, and by who?)

    1) It was mentioned that Comic Based Characters might be possible, Can you elaborate ?
    2) If there's not a DX Universe Jazz in 2008 because of Animated Jazz - can we have one the following year - conversly could it work the other way allowing for an Animated Sunstreaker in 2009 ?
    3) Will The Animated DVD Deluxe twinpack Optimus & Megatron be redeorated as carded items in non-damaged state at some point ?
    4) Can we have a repaint of the Classics Deluxe Twinpack Optimus & Megatron - say as Nemesis Prime and Bludgeon (yellow).
    5) Hotshot represents Armada in the 25th Anniversary line - what represents Energon?
    6) What is the legal permisability of suggesting Repaints ?
Can we say "I'd like a Repaint of Cybertron Landmine as Landquake" - or do we have to say "Has Hasbro ever considered making a version of Landquake using the Cyberton Landmine DX mold ?" - basically if we have repaint request how can we make them?
7)Any chance of any more Energon repaints ? - Roadblock seems very like a certain green E-hobby crane character to me.
    8) Is 25th Ravage the only Planned Cassette remake - and how come he's got no missiles ?

There's a Videogame coming out in 2009 based on Aliens - called "Aliens Colonial Marines" - Have Hasbro considered the license for toys for that game - in particular as an excuse to do "Aliens/Transformers Crossovers" toys. / Likewise Terminator Future Wars Transformers / Or Battlestar Galactica Transformers might be nice.

Now the line is called "Crossovers" it seems to infer more is possible than just Marvel & Star Wars.

    Also :

I was wondering if a Star Wars Transformer based on Force Unleashed is Possible ?, and if there's more new mold Sequel vehicle planned to come - especially Starfighters.?

I'd be interested to know if there's any chance of a running design change or future reissue of Episode 3 Obi-wan kenobi/Jedi Starfighter in the correct white and blue rather than grey & blue.

    1. Since you bought the rights to Sunbow Productions, Will we see a re-issue of G1 episodes, Headmasters, Victory, GI Joes episodes, etc. on DVD? Possibly a DVD set with exclusive toy promo?

A couple of these questions will be loaded, but it's not like every question in the thread is going to be submitted.

    1. Given how poor quality control has been since the movie line has the Transformers division and Hasbro in general considered taking actions that would actually work to solve the problem? By this I mean the root problem is that the factories in China have apparently pushed their workers to the point that they can no longer reliably produce high quality products. A factory (or factories) in the United States is currently a feasible economic alternative given a few factors. The first is that with current robotics technology a factory could be almost entirely automated, making labor costs about equal while having a consistent level of quality. With an "expert assembly person" wearing a sensor harness being utilized to "train" the robots for the assembly of each figure, no people need to be on the lines themselves except for spot QA checks. With production facilities located in the US, the high cost of shipping the product from China to the primary market (North America) is eliminated. A few years ago there was an article about a pair of chemical engineers that went through a factory and reformulated the chemical processes so that there was virtually no waste (the waste chemicals were actually chemicals that were useful for other businesses, so they could be sold to such businesses), so taking such measures would ameliorate environmental costs and hazards. Finally, given the current state of the US real estate market, purchasing space for the facilities should be relatively inexpensive. Given the above, has the Transformers division or any other division of Hasbro considered a similar scenario to correct recent quality problems?

    2. Given the generally poor opinion of the Energon combiners (e.g. Bruticus & Superion) by way of compaison to similar combiners in G1 and the advances in toy engineering since then, does the design team feel that any failings in the design are due to budget and time constraints, or do they feel that other thought patterns would need to be applied to the design of any such future combiners in order to create designs worthy of the Transformers heritage and many of the recent innovative quality designs?

    3. With the recent almost unilateral acclaim by fans for the Universe Targetmaster Cyclonus based on the pictures, and a previous proclamation that all Transformers created for the Universe line would have realistic alternate modes, is there now any plans for creating other characters for the line with non-realistic alternate modes (like the other G1 post-movie toys)?

    4. A design by Don Figueroa of Cosmos for the original Classics line went unproduced because the line was expected to only be a fill-in. The design was supposed to be slated for use in the Titanium line, but the line ended before the design was implemented. Does the upcoming Legends-class version of Cosmos preclude the production of this other design for Cosmos in the Universe line?

    5. The recent picture of the 25th anniversary Cheetor has drawn an intense amount of derision for the design (even knowing the arms are out of place in the picture). Do the comments that have been made about that figure affect plans for any possible Beast Wars re-designs or homages?

The next two have already been asked by others, but I have different wordings that may lead to a different idea or possible answer, so I'll ask them anyway.

    6. At Botcon, it was announced that the IDW character "Drift" would be made into a Transformers toy, but no other IDW-designs were slated for similar treatment. Has the situation changed since then? It was physically demonstrated at Botcon that Nova Prime was certainly a feasible candidate for physical production. Thuderwing also seems possible in the Ultra-size class.

    7. Since Ravage has been included in the Universe line (albeit only to go with Hound), are the creation of other G1 cassette-bots in consideration for Universe? For instance, Deluxe price-point versus sets (such as Rumble vs. Eject, Ramhorn vs. Slugfest, Slamdance vs. Squalkbox, etc.)?

-Will we see an Animated Omega Supreme?
-Will other lines (Universe, Animated) be put on hold for TF2?
-Will Activator-class toys continue for other lines?
-Is the 25th anniversary line part of Universe/Classics 2.0 or a seperate line? And if it is, are the new molds only deluxe class?
-Will we see any prototype pics of Animated Wreck-Gar in the near future?
    -Will G1 Shockwave be re-issued in 25th?
-Is there a set number of characters representing a series in the 25th line? (like 5 from Beast Wars, 5 from RiD, so and so forth)
-If more Beast Wars characters are being considered, perhaps a more show-accurate (and Voyager-Class) Dinobot?

Will Hasbro be going to be releasing more of the G1 Masterpiece line in the future like the Walmart Exclusive Masterpiece Starscream that was released about a year ago.

    Dear Hasbro,

    1. May we have a Leader-class Lugnut for the Animated toyline?

    2. When will the Animated Mixmaster and Scrapper toys be released?

    3. Will all the new Autobot and Decepticon characters for Animated's Season Three (and beyond) have toys to go with them?

    4. Will there ever be re-releases of other Transformer toys dating from 1987-1989, particularly Powermasters, Headmasters and Targetmasters?

    5. Will there ever be a Batman Crossovers line? A transforming Tumbler would be sweet...

    Thanks!
