From, the photos, seems to me that he doesn't have his own robot mode. Looks like he can only turn into Devastator's head and arms.

I can't wait til that scene in my super secret totally accurate script where Rita repulsa tells the icecream truck to grow and fight devastator. This is gonna rock.

I find it absolutely hilarious that anyone is trying to make a judgement call on this toy, one way or another, based on the photos we have seen thus far. :lol

It looks like a black faction symbol that has its detail obscured due to lighting/resolution.

That kind of thing happens on my webcam.

Really? I can see how the scoop would form the arms. The legs are hard to see, but this almost assuredly has a robot mode.

And it's not going to be Devastator. Another name.

I have to agree with this. There's too little to go on here. I do have to wonder if this is part of the $100 combiner set... if it is it's actually pretty pathetic, but again... there's too little information to go on.

On a side note... can someone start mirroring the pictures from this site instead of just posting a link? Everytime I go to that site both of my virus detectors and fire wall light up my freakin' computer screen... that place is loaded with junk trying to jump on your computer...

Yeah, where are you getting this from, exactly? Just that I've noticed you've said this a few times, and I'm not sure if you know something everyone else doesn't; the Empire magazine preview, for example, has a quote by RotF visual effects supervisor Scott Farrar that specifically refers to Devastator by name. What makes you think otherwise?

Yes, I can see the arms. It's the lack of legs and torso that make it look like it has no bot mode

You know that Star of Cybertron guy posted a nice sized post on the second page.
Anyone know if it says anything important?

    I don't like it

except for the head, it doesn't look like a movie toy at all. These characters blast from their alt-modes into millions of pieces to form really cool looking designs, and the toys really captured this as well with the first movie toys. All this thing does is split at the shovel and the tracks leaving most of the alt mode in tact, no neat litle flip out panels or anything neat looking

The new scouts look great and have a lot of awesome design features (except that stupid bi-plane, but when you got little to work with, its hard to really do anything, so it's still cool for what it is)

This thing though, not feeling it at all

Looking at the pictures some more, I'm no longer so sure this guy will have a bot-mode of his own. Looks more like he'll form the upper part of Devastator's torso, and possibly part of his arms. This might meant that we'll be getting a Devastator set that has only alt-modes and a gestalt-mode, and also get the bots on their own that have an alt-mode and a bot-mode, but can't combine. Looks like I may not be getting the $100 Devs after all. Though we still know very little about this figure, and pretty much nothing about the other CC's, so it's still just speculation for the time being.

Edit: Maybe this guy's bot mode doesn't have legs at all, and he uses the treads to move around? Kinda like the BM tank drones. Looking at the treads, it almost looks like they could become his legs themselves. The one almost looks like it has a panel that can fold out so that a heel or something can pop out to help stand him up. Still going to wait for more and better pictures to make any real judgment. Though he at least looks good in alt-mode, I like the colors, and the head actually looks cool. Basically I like what I see so far.

Oh come on look at it.
I very much doubt that head and shoulder of a 7 piece gesault is going to become that by simply separating the shovel arm and turning it upside down.

Looking at the other images you can see there are pegs on the sides of the tracks which don't seem to connect to anything on that bot in any of the images....lets wait til we see the correct transformations.

As for size it does appear to be about the same volume as the tank form of animated blitzwing...with an shovel arm added (going off the DVD cases)

[ETA] no wait the pegs do link to something on this bot.
Theres far to much going on with this bot in joints and connections for it not to have its own bot mode.
